I hear you! I haven’t played Half-Life so can’t say Half-Life 3 like I assume many on this board would say. For me it’s either Starfield 2 or Elden Ring 2 or a big budget AAA The Last Ninja 4 System 3 and Team Ninja or FROM Software collaboration that would maximize my excitement.Starfield 2 would be by far my most wanted and most anticipated game ever of all IP in gaming.
I have already played many Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. A lot of great series will peak on the 1st sequel, like Mass Effect 2 and Assassin's Creed 2. You work out the kinks and get a foot in the door, then you are able to fully execute on the next game. I sincerely hope they do it.
Two decades from now is my guess.if Star field 2 could release in two years from now.
Will always happen when a company makes brand new game."Wait till the sequel."
Not at all. You call Starfield a GaaS. What is stopping them from fixing the issues now? Will always happen when a company makes brand new game.
The reason why I always respect games like Suicide Squad over stuff with rehashed mechanics.
Name issues in dlc. They didn't even fix the issues in the DLC, which was even worse than the main game, which is pretty awful to begin with.
Name issues in dlc.
What are they?
Their arent any. Its a single planet with proper exploration.
Already on to a good start!
Not at all. You call Starfield a GaaS. What is stopping them from fixing the issues now?
Dude. Suicide Squad is like "rehashed mechanics, the game". You're shooting at purple balls and all of the characters have similar traversal mechanics. All of the DLC bosses have been reskins. The reason why I always respect games like Suicide Squad over stuff with rehashed mechanics.
Reception of Shattered Space is weird. No idea why it went low. The game looks great to me.
Also, you chose to skip the most important part of my comment.
Which game has you shooting stuff while you are in air?Dude. Suicide Squad is like "rehashed mechanics, the game". You're shooting at purple balls and all of the characters have similar traversal mechanics. All of the DLC bosses have been reskins.
Anthem. We all know where that went. (and seriously, there are so many others. Splatoon?)Which game has you shooting stuff while you are in air?
I haven’t played Anthem. But I have heard praise that it had potential.Anthem. We all know where that went. (and seriously, there are so many others. Splatoon?)
I'm hesitant to say your opinions are wrong, because like assholes, everyone's got one.I haven’t played Anthem. But I have heard praise that it had potential.
Splatoon isnt the same.
.... What. The. Fuck.Nesmith likens the experience [...] to Mass Effect or Assassin’s Creed, franchises that has rough starts
Baa …. Baaaaa …..I'm hesitant to say your opinions are wrong, because like assholes, everyone's got one.
But your opinions are certainly stupid.
Between finishing TES and Fallout new entries any Starfield sequel is at least 10-15 years away. Maybe by that time they have much better tech to make making the game cheaper too.Why would MS let them make a sequel? The game has not been that well received and the overall structure is the biggest complaint. It would make more sense to crank out another Fallout than to burn resources on another one of these.
WB Games and Rocksteady, and the general audience (just look at the player count), certainly agrees with you. There will be updates for years to come!I think its very cool.
Yep. The dev's head is so far up in his ass he can't even hear the people laughing at him..... What. The. Fuck.
I played those games when they came out and followed the reception. Rough start my ass.
Those games were lauded upon release - and for good reason!
Personally, I never really liked AC, but nobody sane would say those games didn't mostly achieve what they set out to do from the start.
ME or AC were golden upon release with some specks of shit here and there.
It's the exact opposite of Starfield, a big pile of dung you have to dig through to find some minor nuggets of gold, which didn't achieve a single thing it set out to do.
That guy is delusional.
I agree with your point, but on a specific level - they did redeem the one major flaw of ME1 in the sequels: they killed off the Mako. And then brought it back in Andromeda... I don't know what they were thinking.Their sequels did not FIX THE ISSUES that were in the first games, but instead BUILT UPON the first games and made them even more awesome.
All those titles succeeded an original game that was much much better received and I would say solid than Starfield has been. For the Shenmue series, Shenmue I was a great start that in some ways was better than its sequel (although its sequel had a higher scope and all).Overlooking the pathetic trolls on here. That is what sequels are, building on what worked and fixing what didn't. The likes of JSRF, Shenmue 2, Silent Hill 2, Mass Effect 2 Uncharted 2 are perfect examples of that
Glad you loved it and yet you can admit its flaws.Loved Starfield but the loading, lack of being able to fly to any planet or moon in real time or having ground vehicles hurt it
I hope the sequel will address that
This premise is flawed.vaibhavpisal at some point the “oh no, they are totally fixing and enhancing the base game one big DLC at a time” is going to fall short… quite soon. How likely is that Shattered Spaces is the last or one of the last 2 semi-significant DLCs this game will ever get?
In terms of marketing cycle, now that we do not need to hype the DLC as saving the base game is the base game now actually perfect as is and we will only admit issues when/if they tease a DLC or a far away sequel ?
Ah, this is an interesting twist. The “oh no wait the big DLC coming is the true one and it will fix the game” went into “ok but next one surely will” to “base game is good as it is” to “if only players had appreciated this DLC they would have made more”. These gamers are real a%%holes .This premise is flawed.
I think Bethesda makes great open ended exploration. Thats present in dlc, but wasn’t as good in base game.
If dlc was received more positively and had more sales, it would definitely have encouraged lots of updates.
Seems to be a widespread problem through out the industry. Its lIke GHG wrote in another thread; these mega companies haven't heard honest feedback in over a decade. Is a stubborn refusal to acknowledge customer feedback listed as hard job requirement to work at Bethesda, or is it just strongly preferred?
You're not "quite there". You're not "missing a little bit." You've got a fundamentally flawed approach to game design, which is to throw absolutely fucking every piece of meandering, pointless concept at one megagame and hope it works. It hasn't worked. It hasn't worked for a very long time.
Ask some fucking questions. Is the story any good? Did I write a character instead of just another in-game object with a personality based on a single bullet point? Are my mechanics - combat, traversal, or otherwise, still garbage?
Absolutely zero faith in Bethesda until they have some sort of come to Jesus moment.
Its not on players.Ah, this is an interesting twist. The “oh no wait the big DLC coming is the true one and it will fix the game” went into “ok but next one surely will” to “base game is good as it is” to “if only players had appreciated this DLC they would have made more”. Dont be a sheep.
I can almost feel his desire to eat breakfast.
And a new animations directorThey just need a better writer for the main story.
This is automated in their games. And a new animations director
And a new digital acting director
