It's a shame the game wasn't a lot better than it was. I fear it will outsell the superb RE4 with this nice marketing push.

look at the size of that great fox or whatever that big mother ship is called. and the shadows are pure black, and not opaque enough. look at the shadows of the trees near the house, they're way different.

the japanese ad, though, is hot.

It's a simple ad with a broad appeal, I think. It's not the most well done technically, but I have a feeling it will impress the 8-14 demographic it's shooting for.

I don't think Star Fox Assault, or any of Nintendo's recent ads for that matter, are all that great. They're definitely an improvement over ones of years past, but if I were a casual gamer, seeing this ad would not make me want to buy the game. Is it sort of clever? Yeah. Sort of visually interesting? I guess. That's not really enough to make anyone want to buy the game who doesn't already plan on doing so.

Okay wtf. There would be more awe/comedy factor if the Great Fox were actually to scale and crushing half the neighborhood while parked next to the garage. This ad is just weak.

The US ad looks like a really bad, amateur photoshop. Just awful. I can't believe you made a thread praising it. When I first saw it in the current mags, I just laughed and then shook my head. It looks like an ad that belongs in EGM #2 in '89. Terrible.

I'm glad I'm not the only annoyed by the Great Fox in the US print ad. Its pretty clear that whoever did the ad just didn't give a damn.
