How long can I upgrade for $20 to if I bought it previously on Xbox 360 or Steam?
June 30th 2015

Can I transfer my Xbox 360 save over to Xbox One?
Yes! A title update is coming to the Xbox 360 version which will allow you to upload your save to the cloud and move it over

Any pre-order/day one exclusives?
Exclusive character: Exclusive hero Gurubani Kaur for players who owned it on XBLA or Steam before.
Day One pre-order: Preppers pack w/Prepper SUV, SKS firearm and folding axe
Both accessed via the radio menu (D-pad down + PC equivalent)

What are the achievements like?
See for yourself, there is 1500 gamerscore too! (Spoilers ahoy though)

Does State of Decay Year One Survival Edition have multiplayer?
No. They looked at adding it in to State of Decay on XBLA but it would have meant no patches or DLC, the next game will be built around it.

I dont understand the title, can you explain it?
Ps = resolution Ds = A nice little surprise found by Undead Labs whilst the game was in development courtesy of Noobcraft in another SoD thread!

How awesome is State of Decay?
So freakin' awesome.

Wound up buying physical for xbone on this, but I'll probably double dip on a steam sale. I can't wait to get started on it tomorrow.

I kinda hope there's a code to restore all the dongs. It would make for a pretty sweet captain toad style mini game.

Any comparison shots between the old and new PC versions? I finished the old PC version when it came out, wanna see if there's reason enough for a double dip, or are we talking about miniscule improvements?

Nice OP! But from my understanding the frame rate wasn't improved?

It has improved imo, although I pasted that info from their announcement things and edited it from "silky smooth frame-rate" down to "improved" I didnt think it was that bad/terrible, its just not perfect in some areas, gets worse sometimes more than others

Loved it. Never touched the DLCs - this will change now.
Which one is better, Breakdown or Lifeline? I like the idea of the "endless mode" but maybe the story is worth checking out.

Not a fan over digital but whaaaa? Physical release? Love owning my games on real media. This pretty much guarantees a buy for me. I played this on my PC at 720 on medium settings and my PC was janky all over the place,I had such a shit graphics card back then. The remaster looked great on Twitch. Bought.

Might do the upgrade price promo before it ends. Although I won't have time to play it with The Witcher and Batman. I loved the game on 360 though.

Still not a fan of the coloration and I would have loved to have more voice actors, but I'm looking forward to playing this in a few years when my PC can handle it. ;/

Meh, gave them the $20 for the Xbone version even though I don't have the console yet. State of Decay is one of my favorite games ever.

Now to wait for a super deal on the Xbone console.

I really like your reviews. Very amusing and informative.

Thanks bro. You will like the game more:)

Lifeline plays a good deal different(the systems have different resources and stuff) so it can feel a good deal different with unique goals.
Breakdown is fantastic because it distills the game down without any forced mission but can feel anonymous at times.

Still not a fan of the coloration and I would have loved to have more voice actors, but I'm looking forward to playing this in a few years when my PC can handle it. ;/
I flatened the colors fairly easily with 1-2 seconds tweak time. You should be fine( I agree the color can look odd)

Ordered a copy off the Microsoft store as I wanted the day one box (came with a promo for a $10 code as well, effectively marking it down to what I would've paid digitally) but I'm unsure if it will be arriving tomorrow. I hope so, as I loved it on 360. Excited to play it again

Planning to get this tomorrow at Best Buy because of Gamers Club Unlocked, but already getting tempted to just grab it digital tonight... that 9pm unlock!

Nice OT! I've been playing Breakdown on 360 a bunch this past week and once it releases on X1 I'll restart the main game's campaign (I never got very far on 360). Can't wait!

Not screenshots, but I just stubled across this video comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIZpO0k8yzo

The game isn't a graphical powerhouse, and it does have glitches here and there, but this video really surprised me in just how much better the new version looks.

That is actually a damn good comparison to be honest. Just in terms of locations and such.

Holy black crush, Batman!

Please tell me you purposely set the wrong RGB setting on the Xbone. Have Microsoft still not fixed this shit?
The game has always had odd coloring but that video proved difficult as hell to get right regardless(as discussed above with coloration and lighting)
EDIT: Crapnation thats the unadjusted video in the first place. Damn it. Too late to change it.

"How awesome is State of Decay? So freakin' awesome."

Agreed. It's just a shame that the Xbox One version is absolutely riddled with bugs.

The game is fantastically designed, but I've lost HOURS of character progress multiple times due to random bugs. Characters refusing to take medication or get out of a car that's about to explode? AI teammates blocking escape routes and not helping when you're getting overwhelmed by zombies? Zombies killing you through walls? Clipping through the floor and falling out of the game world to your death because you had the audacity to walk down a street? So freakin' awesome. Especially when you're in your fifth hour of play with a character.

Plus it's lovely when you drive into the town of Marshall in the main game and it drops from its already choppy framerate to about 15FPS. Then there's pop-up (no exaggeration) about three feet in front of you, and the times when the game refuses to load and sticks on the loading screen. Or times when an AI character you're escorting can't find his way through a door, meaning you have to fail the mission. Or the time when a character you've decided to take with you on a mission just disappears halfway through a battle and then turns up later at the base. That last one has happened at least 70% of the time I've taken a secondary character with me on anything other than a "Morale Mission." How about being able to clip through fences just by attacking a zombie that's on the other side of one? Awesomely useful, until you do it by mistake and a Juggernaut spots you and kills you.

Leaderboards are screwed, too. I had 90,000 kills apparently logged within a couple of hours, despite the achievement for killing 500 only popping the next day. Noticed Steverulez up toward the top of the pile. What have you got there? 150k kills now? :)

Plus a 3.9GB patch last Wednesday, followed by a 3.7GB patch on Saturday - neither of which seem to actually do very much. Not sure what size the final Day One patch will be. I assume it'll just be the 3.7GB one.

Opinions are opinions of course, but I genuinely don't see how it's picking up 8.9s and 9s in places. For once, the Gamespot review is easily closest. Even OXM only gave it a 6.

Such a shame. I was addicted despite the bugs, but it didn't last long.

So uh, I don't get the title... is anyone kind enough to explain?

Also, Xbox One or PC? I have the original on Xbox and PC so either way I'd get it cheaper, but I feel like I'm swayed more towards the Xbox side of things for 'dem Cheevos.

Ah, so less D's and more P's = the 1080p upgrade I assume.

That is quite clever, lol.
Yeah I suggested it in one of the other threads. I'm glad people like it lol. I have the game preloaded and will probably fire it up at midnight to give it a go. It's the first time one of my OT title suggestions got picked :)

Really looking forward to this. Never played the original, and I've been playing nothing but BL2 since the HC came out, so it'll be a nice change of pace.
