There bette rnot be a single new GAAS TRASH announcement from this company

I think the announcement will post at 9am eastern like most of the previous ones for a Thursday showcase. They will probably want to show what they have before the Xbox showcase and (maybe) take some Thunder away from the Nintendo Switch 2 launch (not much but something).

Some of the predictions on here I saw felt more like 'showcase' material which is probably done with, but I think this time around maybe Playstation wants to show some things now in order for people to get more excited about. Either this or it's to get ahead and announce games, specifically 3rd party titles coming to the platform before Xbox says it in their Showcase on Sunday. Xbox always has to make the 'oh we're getting it too on our platform' posts after Playstation announces them.

I can't imagine another lackluster SoP at this point right now, but let's see.

9am announcement like I thought. And a day before Switch 2, which is the good call.

These shows are usually solid but GAF sets their expectations way too high and will complain how it's the worst State of Play they ever had. Watch lol it happens literally every single time and they never adapt

It's E3 season. It isn't asking too much to put together a good show. Hopefully they do.

Not expecting much personally. But here's my wishlist anyway

1. Gameplay walkthrough of any of the announced game, like GoY, intergalactic, wolverine or saros.

2. The rumoured smaller god of war game for later this year.

3. New announcements from Sony like gt8.

4. Good third party announcements

Will be over the moon over any of the top 3, but don't know if they are planning to save them for the rumoured showcase later this year.

As for the 4, it depends on the game and whether they are my taste or not.

I want:
  • Next Tales Of Series anniversay remaster (Tales of Destiny DC or Rebirth)
  • New Tales Of game
  • Pragmata
I'll get:
  • Next Tales Of Series anniversay remaster (Xillia 1, Xillia 2 at a later date sold separately both 50 bucks)

I almost want to see 20 minutes of Marathon and 20 minutes of Fairgames to see the rage about Sony not giving a fuck to try to please GAF "pie_tears_joy: :messenger_grinning_sweat:

But imo there will be the usual good mix of titles from different publishers, something first party, but no 10 AAA single player games announced all at once.

This has to be where Little Devil Inside gets a release date right?

Also please don't be 20 minutes of Death Stranding 2. Not knocking it, looking forward to the game but I'm not a fan of the deep dives right before a game launches when we've seen a bunch of it already.

What I want to see:

ND's other project besides Intergalactic
Corey Barlog's new game
Next mainline Horizon game

What I'm expecting:

None of that

I don't know if I have ever watched a SoP that I came away excited from. Sony isn't good at this.

So is leapfrogging the Switch 2 launch, Summer Games Fest, and the Xbox presentation to go first a confident power move or a tacit admission that they expect this show to be forgotten in a week? Only the motivated reasoning of fanboys can reveal the truth.

The only thing I'm somewhat looking forward to is hopefully the gameplay reveal for Saros.

Aside from that I expect:
-Some Yotei trailer
-A bunch of chinese souls likes and anime waifu gacha games
-Even more Borderlands 4
-A few uninteresting looking indies

My guess would be they know they have nothing too relevant, so going first will at least give them a few days of the conversation focusing on whatever they showed instead of getting lost in between the other shows and announcements.
