I dont have a desk right now so every game I play has to be with a controller.

My god playing BLOPS(3) is so hard with a controller (because 100% of the people you are playing against are using mouse and keyboard)

I get first place around everyother game but it is just so stressful as all these guys can jump and boost around the map while I have to aim at them with a joystick :(

controller users have serious advantages over kb/m, especially re: line of sighting, analog movement, and 180 snap turns. among many others.

you lose the twitch factor, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Maybe for you, aiming with the controller is 100x more difficult for me than a m/kb but also in BLOPS people are power sliding and flying around so aiming is even harder than a normal game like halo or something. I still do decently considering but there are a lot of hairpulling stress moments.

The only time I have seen a controller user compete in Blops 3 with KBM users was my friend on a Steam controller.

What does '180 snap turns' mean? The rest doesn't make much sense either for me, I'm playing Blops3 on PS4 right now cause I got it cheap and despite the insane amount of auto-aim it's still a pain. Framerate is disgustingly inconsistent too btw (at least in the campaign which is imo much worse than AW) but afaik the PC version isn't great either.

Fallout 4 modders are struggling to make virtual dicks work

While naked female Fallout 4 characters were out pretty much as soon as the game was released, there's a serious struggle happening right now in the Fallout 4 dick modding scene. The fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Because cock and balls protrude from the body in a fleshy mass, they require mesh editing and 3D modelling, meaning the male form is a much more complex undertaking for manhood modders.

There are only two dick mods out there at the moment for people who want to get in touch with nature in the Commonwealth, according to a NSFW Kotaku report.

You can see the photos over there, but the first one - in the brilliantly-named Immersive wasteland streaking - is clearly a grower, his little man visibly afraid of the harsh, post-nuclear climate, retreating back into his pelvis like a baby mole.

The second one, called Penis Envy, is quite the opposite, with your character permanently at risk of a radscorpion sting right up the pee hole. Here's that mod's description: “It is similar to viagra. This mod gives your character a non-stop raging boner. The nexus as of now is all about them boobs and booty. It is time we give the male character some love.”

But yeah, it's not easy for these trailblazing dick modders, and they're facing all sorts of issues trying to give Fallout 4 the D, with an earlier version of Penis Envy deforming the penis of any player who dared to crouch.

“An issue still is that the dick, because it is put on the pelvis bone, is resized as the character is rezised,” says the Penis Envy modder, via Kotaku. “This means that a large character would have a stretched out dick.”

Apparently the erect dong looks weird on big guys, so you should opt for a smaller one, or perhaps even a flaccid one, in this case. The more you know.

There have even been reports of players with missing balls. The Fallout 4 dick modding scene needs a hero, it seems.

Random thought of the day: I will never understand why some modders choose to give certain female characters a "makeover" so that they look incredibly beautiful. The whole point of the Fallout series is that it's post-apocalyptic and very few people have the resources or capability to doll themselves up to look beautiful, yet looking at mods like this, it's like someone had the time to go get a facial and manicure in the wasteland.

TBH, it isn't any less stupid than the dirty faces (often applied regardless of context).

Yakuza Kiwami: The Next Best Thing To A Shenmue Remake

Gonna be honest. With the very first game of this cult series just getting a remake, it's the perfect timing for SEGA to start Yakuza's footing on the PC platform.

Perfect timing. SEGA, waiting now is a mistake.

I'm having such a blast with Y5 right now.
This is imo the most underrated videogame franchise in the west.
I hope Y6 and Kiwami get localized as well, my PS4 is ready for Y0.

Nah. I mean, Sega didn't bother to release a collection yet, didn't do a sequel, asking for a remake it's something impossible.
They should just relese a collection of Shenmue 1+2, instead they keep doing Sonic games.
And Yakuza on PC is not even a sure thing, sadly.

VR-Vergleich: Oculus, Vive & Playstation VR - Was man über die VR-Headsets wissen sollte

Probably stuff everyone knows who follows VR but I don't, so good info for people like me.

- same resolution on Vive & Rift (displays 2x1080x1200, 90Hz)
- resolution not optimal, it looks pixelated
- Rift & Vive have likely same hardware requirements
- Rift: one IR camera, VR hand controllers in the 2nd half of the year, XB1 controller bundled, 4m cable connected
- Vive: two IR units for preciser tracking, chaperone system warns via "AR" of real world obstacles, one front facing camera for AR applications, VR controllers included, also cable connected
- big difference in each dedicated games: Rift more stationary/seated, Vive can do that as well but also has more walking
- SonyVR: release likely 1st half of the year, displays 2x960x1080, OLED display, 120Hz, PS Camera for position tracking (non IR), controllable via Move or DS4 (later can be shown ingame via AR via lightbar), due to much lower performance of console games tend to look more simple

Hah I did a triple post in the Steam Lunar sales thread before you did!

Besides don't worry about getting banned, you actually make worthwhile posts.

I've mostly been posting about how fucking depressed I've been

And remember the masturbation-discussion? And the great who-would-you-bang-on-SteamGAF debacle? >->

I'm surprised at SonyVR going for 120Hz. You'd think being much less powerful than high-end PCs running dedicated VR games on PC, they'd go with 90Hz to at least not be at an disadvantage. The extra resources from the 30frames should be even more important for consoles.
Sadly I haven't been able to try any VR, so I'm interested to know how much 90/120Hz difference is.

Vive and Rift look to be very similar but so far I'm more and more tending towards the Vive. The tracking system, AR, included VR controllers all sound better to me. So does the focus on more movement. Imagine a VR Holodeck
Either way, whether it's the high price or the resolution, I'll gladly wait for a second or third version to jump at.

My understanding is that Sony is developing their own frame interpolation tech, which can allow games to be rendered at 60fps, then have 60 interpolated fps as well. This allows for 120fps displayed, with 60fps + interpolation rendering.

Aha, that's interesting. Don't think it will be as pleasant as true 120fps though. Star Wars Force Unleashed did some similar trick I believe.
