Dumb question: Does exclusive actually matter that much to the average PS4 owner? I can of course see wanting games to play on your PS4 (or whatever platform you prefer), but is the exclusivity status of those games that important to people other than (what I naively assume to be) a vocal minority? I've never owned a console myself (so I am speaking from a position of ignorance), but I've personally never considered the exclusivity of a title when deciding whether or not to purchase it, across the platforms I have (had) access to.

I think for Xbox/Playstation it doesn't and hasn't for a while, though there were certainly series like Halo that were important for consideration at some point. Nowadaysy 3rd party games dominate and they are on everything.

It's still a big factor for Nintendo though. Their stuff wouldn't sell shit without exclusives.

If exclusives would matter the PS4 wouldn't be as succesful as it is.

listen to the mad man
trimmed down my wishlist

I still have 100 games that I legitmately want to play on it

I trimmed mine from ~350 to ~250 a while ago. Lots of stuff that I added when it was in pre-order status and then it released and ended up being no good, lots of stuff that was marginal anyway, some stuff I only had on my wishlist to remind me in case it ended up in a bundle, some bigger games with bad DRM because at this point I can be pickier about what I actually buy.

I think eventually I'm going to also sort by date added to wishlist and remove stuff that I put on my wishlist more than 2-3 years ago on the grounds that, like, if I haven't bought it yet, then I probably won't unless there's a $0.21 price error or whatever in which case I'm going to see it here, not on my wishlist

I'm looking forward to Quantum Break but knowing i cant even see my framerate on windows store games is kind of shitty, If there is no steam version I'll probably get it cheap later

How can one wishlist so many games?

I have got like:
  • Californium
  • The Walking Dead: Michonne (not yet on the store)
  • Stephen's Sausage Roll (not yet on the store)
How can one wishlist more than like 10 games? Unless you are fresh new to Steam.

Whatever you do Wok don't look at Bernardo's or Redlacs' wishlists. You think a couple a hundred is a lot then you haven't seen nothing yet.

I guess I am not using the feature correctly.

Or I over-think my wish-list and trim it too often.

I mean, there are not that many games that you could realistically wish to play.

Californium should be £7 so 9 euros. With a 10% launch discount.

Also Puddle is a bonus with the game:

Lashman why did you have to link me that, now I'm in full blown debates with people thinking it's stupid for them to tap into an untapped market. It's baffling to me that people think this way. It's like me saying I think XCOM 2 shouldn't come to consoles because it's a PC game at heart and wouldn't sell as well on consoles because of the lack of keyboard/mouse support.

Oh I know what you mean and I used to keep mine at around 20-30 titles that I had a serious or passing interest in... then the discovery queue happened. Going through that a few times a week soon racked my wishlist up to around 80 titles... then the Winter Sales gave cards for going through your discovery queue daily. Now I'm at 150 odd with some stuff I've just added as a bookmark to check up on further and other stuff because if I hadn't used the discovery queue I wouldn't know even existed.

I've come to accept the fact that half of every dollar I make in American Truck Simulator goes to paying speeding tickets. I just can't keep my foot off the pedal...

Can't you edit that stuff in the ini file? It's a bit absurd getting speeding tickets going 5MPH over the limit, and they're in the $1000's.

I haven't checked, I'm just playing the demo now, which carries over to the full game when I get it so I hope by then there will be a mod or something to make it less of a pain in the ass.

It's also crap how the cops actually set up speed traps too, I see a bunch of them just parked along the highway hoping to catch somebody speeding.

That's got to eat into the pornography fund.

There's no .ini file of life Smash! A fine is a fine fair and square.

Puddle is a really great physics puzzler.

Welcome to North America (don't know if you are from there). I've seen it so much in Canada, they have really crazy spots.

I'LL MAKE MY OWN INI FILE OF LIFE WITH BLACKJACK AND HOOKERS!

I'm from America, I know it all too well. I guess I can't knock them for making it realistic but I'll be damned if it's not really annoying.

Mine is pretty and pink
So, SFV won't have lobbies in at launch. This sucks, and will lead to an obvious delay for SteamGAF Friday Night Fisticuffs.

Well, at least for SFV. Ultra's farewell is still on!

I'll sadly have to cancel this because it's in the middle of my exams and if I fail physics I will be shunned by my family forever.

(I also won't have my fightpad until like 25th so...)
