About that CFN details exchange, wouldn't it be useful to also add our skill level/experience with fighting games? For example I'm completely new to fighting games so I have no idea who to add.

Guys, what's the better game for my first RTS experience, Napoleon: Total War or Civilization: Beyond Earth?

Also, if you have an AMD GPU or CPU, you may be eligible for a free game.

I say NTW in my bias opinion and it being a RTS as someone already stated . I recommend getting the NTW3 mod if you don't mind the 1805 uniforms and there is no transitions to 1807-1809 or even 1812 uniform plates as far as I know.

They are listed as megadrive classics or something like that.

Try under S for "SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive Classics." They should be listed as DLC

Ah, beautiful, thanks. I wasn't too worried about either of the two games, but I really didn't want anything weird to happen to Gunstar Heroes.

Cool, thanks all. All my passwords are 50+ character random letters, numbers, and symbols with a different password for every site and I use disposable emails for everything so I'm not worried, just thought it was odd.

In case anybody isn't familiar with that reference:

But yeah, that's always the first thing I think of when I read a discussion about password strength.

I don't mean to be a pain, but could you check in Display - Resolution when you get a chance. That's where it says 3GB for me, next to 'Display Device'. In System - System it says 6.0GB.

Odd.

Ah, System is where I looked. Yeah, Display reports 3GB instead.

Adr1ft?
Uh, the ubisual suspects (the division, fur cry)
The descendant?
Haven't seen anyting
Actually haven't seen a damn thing for Adr1ift, holding out since the last one I went for was bullshit ( can't remember the name, lashman has it and can probably verify)

Don't care two fucks about those, unfortunately. I have a hefty backlog of every UBI AC since the PS4 came out.

I wonder how Consortium 2's post-Kickstarter "Super Backer" thank you is going to work. Like, since I pledged for alpha access to Consortium 2, does being a SUPER BACKER mean I'll have access to future alphas as well or will I still need to pledge at those tiers? If it ends up being the latter, then the reward won't really mean much to me.

Is anyone looking forward to Hitman after that beta? =p
As in, "I'm going to pay full price now for more of this, episodically, released over the year"?

Aren't you? Game feels fun and looks great. Apart from being already paid for in full thanks to the Amazon mistake, I'm expecting cool things from the full (episodic) release.

The controls are garbage, the AI is broken as fuck, and the maps were the size of a postage stamp.
So, no then.

Turfster hates videogame. I, for one, am positively perplexed.

I will say that unless I get in on a price error style price, I wouldn't pay 60 for hitman episodic. Especially with no road map. Could easily see the game getting discounted before it's even all out much like telltale games. Even life is strange was getting discounts before all episodes were out.

Not to mention console wise I'm almost certain they'll do a physical release with all of it afterwards. Which is why the collectors edition will be coming out in March since it's the hardcore who they're catering to anyway while they release parts of the game.

Paris level is way larger.

But sad to see same problems that I complained about still present than last time I played. at least they added keyboard & mouse support and removed 30fps cap, so there's that.

The keyboard controls are fucking bizarre, totally not streamlined in any logical fashion.
How are they going to do this on a controller?

Felt fine to me on the controller. Only oddity was having to hold LB and RB to drop something. Still think it's a case of thinking controls for consoles first. Maybe post in the beta thread how you feel about the default controls so it can be changed.

No, I mean, you have a Use key. Then you have a Use 2 key. And a Pick Up key. And a Use Item key that is different from the "fire" one and that I've only seen pop up as contextual for things in the world and only works if you already have the item in question.
None of these ever appear at the same time or overlap, so... why is this not one fucking key?

There's like 24 inputs, not counting WASD.
How many does a controller have? 12?

Yeah sounds like they just put a keyboard config together just to have one.

Why do I get the feeling soon it's gonna happen to every place selling steam keys.

Not necessarily.
Both Mangagamer and Denpasoft are selling porn, and as such most of the payment processing companies don't want to work with them.
Can't imagine this being a problem for, say, GOG.com.

Thats what the ladies call me, good ol' "20-fingers"

Actually they just call me "leave me alone loser" which isn't the best nickname :/

For you.
Not necessarily.

How is that relevant, since GOG doesn't sell steam keys people can resell?

Wow. That seems a bit overkill. But hey, whatever works for you. :)

Our mutant claw overlord would never sully his carapace by touching a controller. Y'know, even if the game was designed with consoles in mind and the keyboard controls were probably tacked on by an intern as an afterthought for the PC release. ;)

SFV must have bombed hard, it already disapeared from the top 10 list.

Probably deservingly so from a "package / business decision to release it like so" point of view, but man it breaks my heart. The actual game is the best SF has been in ages, and when it eventually works properly, its going to be amazing.

On the flip side, im sure a good summer sale deal with the online fixed by then (one would hope lol), the march modes added, a few more dlc characters out and that cinematic story in june might give it a nice bump in sales.

It was going to be a shaky launch with what they wanted to do. Going for the FGC first so that they can get more time in and be ready for EVO and other such cups was good. But you were going to hurt yourself with the other half of fans. Sure those guys won't stick around for years to come, but they bring in that money. I see things going better in June when the story mode comes out. So long as that is a decent 6 hour affair and the rest of the modes promised are there. I think there will be a lot of "SFV is worth it now" style threads. Or even some come March and April saying how interesting it is to see their purchase evolve. Still Capcom really should have been more upfront about the content and road map. If you weren't following the game, it's easy to understand how people were sucker punched by it. The review threads were filled with people going "wait it doesn't have this?". I think for future releases with a content format, I think a minimum standard should be set. I don't think it's good for the premiere fighting game franchise to release with a lot less content than other titles do if they still want to be full price.
I mean yeah everyone values it differently, but there isn't even basic online stuff like endless multiple player lobbies which is a standard you shouldn't have to wait for.
