Well, since I'm even more late to this conversation than you are, I can add that I've only really seen his videos linked on GAF. Even tried watching a few, but wasn't able to watch any of them for more than half a minute. Just not my thing, I guess. I don't understand why people can get upset about him though, even if they seem to share my viewpoint.

It doesn't need to, but Valve tends to certainly try to do more creative things in the Half Life games than the competition is doing, so I'd kind of expect it from HL3. I just can't think of how exactly though...

All, I know is, based on Gabe's comments from years ago and the leaked concept arts, I'm expecting more horror 
Fun fact: Valve experimented with this in Portal 2. At the end of the game, (spoilers!)

I've noticed while running (mostly) older games, that some of them tend to disable 'AMD color controls', making the whole desktop brighter/dimer even after quiting the game.
Bioshock 2 does that, and I'm sure older Unreal Engine based games do that too.
Any idea on how to make them not do that. The fewer time I need to open up CCC, the better.

I'm okay with HL3 being just another fps because I've enjoyed the gameplay, story, and characters Valve have createdmso far. All I want is a sequel. To see what's next. Yeah, the critics will be out there whining about this or that. But all I care about are having my needs being met. Continue the story. Give me fun puzzles to solve. Give me new weaponss. Introduce new enemies. That's all it needs to do. More people will love it than hate it. Sure the vocals critics will be heard more so than the people that will love it but that's always the case. Plenty of people enjoyed MGS4 but you would think it's one of the worst game ever judging by how some poeple speak about it on GAF. It doesn't need to innovate or win awards. Valve should try to innovate but ultimately the should just give us another game.

The value, for me anyways, in Total Biscuits WTF is... series is simply being able to see a prolonged play session of a given game I may be interested in. You can just watch a giant chunk of the game being played through. His opinions and slacktivism through youtube or twitter you can take or leave.

Would have paid to see Glados' and Wheatley's reaction to that. But yeah, after all that time it would have seemed weird. It's safe to say Gordon also won't talk, no matter how people find silent protags archaic.
I found the way Bio1 and SS2 handled their protags a bit weird in this regard.

This is the third or fourth time 2K has ignored the DLC in light of the game proper being discounted.
The season pass was 66% off at one point during the summer sale. Peculiarly enough, that discount was removed the next time Borderlands 2 was on the dailies.

Borderlands 2 GOTY is out next week on PS3, so I'd wait to grab it if any of you even want it.
Nah, they'll keep at it until the GOTY version comes out.
Of course when on sale they'll discount the GOTY version at a better price than the season pass, just like the first game

Yes, I bought every DLC from Borderlands and it's constant sales taught me to wait for the GOTY edition of Borderlands 2.
I liked the game, but the amount of DLC for Borderlands 2 is just insulting. I'll just wait for the GOTY.

It's probably a pricing error. 2k just had a publisher sale on Xbox live last week and all the dlc was discounted for Borderlands 2 cept the ultimate upgrade pack 2.
