Fuck me am I glad I bought Hot Pursuit. Whoever described it as 'Outrun on steroids' wasn't kidding.

Looks jaw-dropping too, especially at night / in the rain.

yup, looks like the community has died down a bit though because whenever i have a racing itch i just fire it up and usually get put into a lobby with 1-2 guys, it will fill up sometimes but it takes its time.

the games at its best online right? for some reason im still kinda tempted to bite but if multis dead then the game doesn't seem nearly as worth it since all i keep reading that multi is insanely fun.

I played this yesterday with two of my friends online (they bought it fresh) and I love that you still unlock stuff during multiplayer matches with your buddys.

Oh, I've only been playing the single-player. Seems like there's a fair amount of content.

I'd forgotten how good Shift 1 was too. I reckon I prefer it to Shift 2, it just 'feels' better.

New version of Steam Compact out, basically caught on with trading/friend groups in cheat, etc. Now all of that stuff works fine, plus:

General - minor tweaks for the menubar menu buttons
General - refined window shading now that Steam has better support for it
General - completely new look for minimise/maximise/close buttons
Main - new look for the Store/Community/Library/News tabs
Main - new look for the small mode toggle button
Friends - updated to match Steam version 1654/1654
Friends - re-added the collapse/extend icons
Friends - added back a "in focus/out of focus" effect
Chat - updated to match Steam version 1654/1654
Chat - new look for the "mega button"
Chat - added back a "in focus/out of focus" effect
Overlay - version number on the right side, general links on the left side

Doing the same as always is not disapointing. This is Steam we are talking about. Doing as they usually do equals awesome.
