Bound in Blood is a fantastic ride if you love Westerns. It has a couple technical flaws like the low FOV and the draw distance, but everything else is great.

Bound in Blood is actually a prequel, so you'd be alright playing it first. Might even be better playing them that way.

IMO in general prequels/sequels are better played in the order they came out than chronologically.

Tempted to get Bound in Blood actually, 5$ is the perfect price for many of those titles I'd probably do a one and out on.

What the fuck Call of Juarez is a bad game? Why the flak GAF? I was just about to pick it up; I couldn't play RDR today and I need my fix.

It's totally worth 4,99€. If you absolutely loathe narrow FOVs you shouldn't buy it, but everyone else who enjoys a decent shooter once in a while should get it.

I think the 2nd (edit:) 1st one was much, much better with its 2-way POV narrative which gave the game some well needed variation with stealth -> action -> stealth -> action and so forth.

Keep reading through the thread. Some of us disagreed. :) It's one of the better western games on PC, since unfortunately RDR isn't available on PC as far as I know.

The first 2 Call of Juarez games are fun, apparently the Cartel is pretty poor though.

I bought Bound in Blood earlier this year during a different sale and played some of the beginning and it seemed fine. But I was going to hold off to play the first game since I didn't know Bound was actually a prequel.

Can't wait to see what Two Tribes has in store.

Playing through the demo, does seem like a neat western shoot-out kind of game. It ain't no RDR (I've got such a hunkering to play that again) but it seems like a nice western. FOV totally sucks though.

So what western games do we have on PC?

Call of Juarez
Red Dead Revolver (?)

I really liked GUN when it came out but it was pretty janky even for back then. Go in at your own peril now, it likely hasn't aged well at all.

I think just the COJ games. Only others I can think of are GUN, which is a shitty PS2 port, but otherwise great game and Dead Man's Hand, which is kind of a turd.

Desperados was pretty cool, but that's a tactics/rts.

Toki, and the Demopan?
This Christmas, Toki Tori goes on an archeological adventure to discover ancient Aztec civilizations -- apparently THEIR birds engaged in human (bird) sacrifice, and the demopan was an altar upon which the eggs were scrambled.

Why do you say that? Steam routinely has 10% off of pre-releases.

Yeah, it's not like this is some "Oh shi- GMG, gotta do somethin about them." Making up stuff is silly, Steam usually does 10% off for pre-purchase.

Valve are desperate trying to counter GMG. Already got mine for $32 and for free with credit.

While I like some of the prices on that place, let's be real here. GMG isn't big enough yet to even register as a pimple on Steam's ass. This is normal for Steam and your crazy love for GMG is getting a little overboard now.

I'm guessing that's why he posted that. WHERE DO I GET THIS GREAT DEAL, GEZ.
Figures, but I am curious how some people get so many referrals they practically don't have to pay anything for the games they want D:

Also, is the game even worth $32? The screenshots that I saw left me pretty indifferent.

They spam gamefaqs and other various forums or speed invite people in the GMG thread on here.

One of the people from GMG said soon they're reducing the money you get from referalls because of all the people abusing the system. It's $5 per invite now.

It's always been $5 per invite, wilflare is correct about the cap though.
