It's always been $5 per invite, wilflare is correct about the cap though.

Right, I meant they're reducing it from $5 soon. Didn't know about the cap though, that part actually sounds like a better move than reducing it.

Deus Ex HR is $17 on the Russian Steam now.

Actually, it looks like some things are more expensive, the Witcher 2 was $20, now it is 799 rubles, which is about $26.

Drkirby

$18 for RO2, $30 for Dead Island.

It should be noted there is no single game that is more then $30.

299 rubles is the Russian "$19.99", except that it is actually $10. So, it is fair to say games are about 50% the price in Russia.

Damn, should've waited to buy RO2... Oh well...
So, is there someone who'd be up to trading me Dead Island for a game of equal value?

well yes

but you need to consider that trading for a game of "equal price" is a bit different when almost every game is already cheaper there :p

You're right (Damn)... I guess there's no way to do this yet?

lol $20 for settlers 7 and risen, jesus, and $26 for rfa and dungeon siege is laughable.

The rest of those sound good though. $10 for eye? Sold.

The more time passes that RO2 isn't out the more I regret the pre-order a month ago.

It unlocks in like 15 hours, plus if you preordered you've had access to the beta the whole time.

I don't see it posted here yet so here is this russian steam link

?cc=ru

for anyone looking to see the Russian prices. Save a lot of hassle.

Edit: the big banner does it as well lol but the suffix tag is still good to be aware of since I'm sure it won't be there forever.

Now that Darksiders has gone off sale on the THQ store, I shall spam my trade. I am trading a copy of Darksiders from Steam for Limbo, or a $10 game I don't own.

And Serious Sam 3 has been pre-ordered. What can I say, I',m a sucker for a 20% discount. Between this and Hard Reset I think I've got all of my oldschool shooter needs covered. Well, maybe I should dig out that physical copy of Painkiller and see if I still have the key.

Fixed. Pretty sure the base game pre-order doesn't come with beta access.

Am I calculating this right?!

UK - Serious Sam 3 preorder at -10% = £26.99
Russian - 539 py6 = £11.24

?! This is huge savings, and this is true with many games. and it's not even a steam sale. What trickery is this?! I get the feeling I've input the wrong currency lol

If this is accurate any russians could make a real good name for themselves by setting up a dedicated gifting channel.

It's all about price formation. We've got here one of the lowest salarys in the world, FYI. And of course cheap prices is a good way to beat the piracy - it's still pretty damn popular over there. Also, Gabe said that our market is the biggest in the Europe after GB and Germany, so he surely know how to do things right.

First of all we need a working pypal here. I doubt you'll find too much patrons here.

WTF just logged into steam and theres about 23 games paused in the download section all of which are already installed??

Wasteland Angel demo is up finally. I don't care what Total Buscuit says, game is good simple fun.

Then again, I'm a sucker for these types of arcade shooters.

I love the main character's design, too.

Pick up CoJ or not... Hmm..

Also, WTF AT THE RUBLES. JESUS THE PRICES ARE INSANE.

Deus Ex HR for 12 bucks!

Even the CoD games are 60% cheaper.

Since you have like 5 minutes here is the quick CoJ rundown:

* If you HATE limited FOV that may be unfixable, do not get it.
* If you HATE western-themed games, do not get it.
* If you HATE possible aim assist (can't remember if this is optional), do not get it.
* If you HATE the idea of boss fights with quick-react QTEs (don't think there are too many), do not get it.

* If you LIKE first-person games and western cowboy stuff, get it.
* If you LIKE cover shooters and a variety of environments, get it.
* If you LIKE the idea of custom maps and a map editor and a dev site with more maps, plus multiplayer with custom maps and I think dedicated servers, though no one presumably plays them, get it.
