Oh. :( Guess I'll gift it to myself, then. :p

Shit, this week is going to be my quarterly temptation to pick up Cities in Motion, Majesty 2 and King Arthur.

I have no need, I have no need I have no need, I have no need....

4 hours to unlock for the expansion, jeez. Don't XBLA and PSN already have it up? How much is it? (I heard something to the tune of 400ms points?)

Fuck yes! I really hope Penumbra: Black Plague Gold Edition is a featured deal during the Paradox Sale. Loved the first one, can't wait.

If you loved Overture, I can't wait to see what you say about Black Plague. It's a massive improvement, and one of the best games I've ever played. Really fantastic stuff.

Is Magic 2012's expansion free? There's no price attached to it and it comes out in 5 hours.
There's no price because it's not out yet. It cost 400 points on XBL so I'm thinking that it will be $4.99.

Sengoku is out ... unless you mean for it's release on Steam...

What is the best way to have steam games in two different locations? I want the games I play a lot on my SSD and the ones I'm not playing to be on my HDD, is this possible?

Yep.

Edit: There's also Steam Mover. The page reads like a Billy Mays sales pitch. :p

Post impressions when you can. I'm interested in getting it too.

Not going to keep you guys on the edge but I'm slowly moving over to my gaming PC and I did the terrible mistake of using the backup function of steam, which means waiting while 140 gigs slowly gets verified and installs (Been 5 hours now, only on disk 38).

Not to mention my max download speed of 204kb/s :p

So might be better to start hunting for impressions heh :p

Edit: Found this video review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgUfZwKLZpk
Will look for more

Cities in Motion is kinda broken. Your best bet in every scenario is to ignore all the objectives, immediately take on tens of thousands of dollars in loans, and build a metro line. The loan payments will probably kill your short-term profits but you can hang out with negative cash forever, even waiting out the entire loan terms if you want. But if you've set up a profitable metro line, you should get your head above water really quickly.

Buses and trams are okay for short simple routes, but the way the game handles traffic and demand means the more popular they are, the less profitable they become. The key to them is to jack up the ticket prices until you can handle the demand. People will still ride.

Despite these problems, it's still a fun game. You're still identifying population centers and locations of interest and connecting them; you just have to work around the quirks.

Did anyone besides me run into a crash problem with MtG2012 right after starting it up, during the loading screen? No idea how to fix it :(

I went ahead and bought the Paradox complete pack because it was only $1.11/item.

Oh god what's wrong with me. I will probably never play 75% of it. :(

Haha, that explains the huge block of text I saw for "Xelios now owns..."

Hope they discount Hearts of Iron III: For the Motherland at one point, that is, more than the 20% it is discounted now. One Paradox thing I still really want and don't already have.

Europa Universalis III alone makes it totally worth it.

If I'm updating my PC to Windows 7 from Vista, which files in Steam should I copy over again? Basically I want the big data files and to make sure I drag over the save files for a few games.

Pretty much the \steamapps\ folder in \Steam\ is what you need. Gamesave Manager also helps pull out your savegames from wherever and when you restore them it'll put them in the right place. I upgraded from XP to 7 just this weekend and even my GFWL game saves are back in place.

Also, copy the userdata folder, it keeps all your screenshots.

Magic 2012 is now downloading a 451 MB update. Free expansion ?

They're probably just making everyone download the expansion files, so when you play against someone else that's using expansion cards and characters or whatever they still show up.

Yeah, just checked, added nothing. Good news is the expansion is up on the European store for 5 euros
