Thinking on Mount and Blade: Warband, but I can't imagine I'd dig into much multi. Can the SP stand on it's own?

Absolutely! The single player is fantastic. It's like a modern version of Sid Meier's Pirates! with a medieval theme. I've put more than 80 hours into it.

Wow finally Mirror's Edge goes on sale. After not showing up during the summer sale I expected it to not be on sale again/removed soon.

does Garrys Mod ever go on sale and is it worth buying at full price? I always get the urge to play it but there isn't much talk about it here on neogaf so I just wanted a few opinions.

It goes on sale fairly often. I recall it being on sale last month actually.

During the Summer Sale it was at 1,99€. Check out it's Steam Prices page.

I think there is a very big chance that it'll be discounted during the Winter Sale ;)

Thanks 3chopl0x. :)

Been playing Battlefront SP. Bought it in an earlier sale, but this sale prompted me to play it. Game still looks good, and is still so much fun.

Still on the fence whether or not I should buy Mirror's Edge. I already have it for my (broken) PS3, but €2,50 isn't a lot and the game is great.

i bought Mirror's Edge off Origin a month or so ago for $5. decent game.

anyway, i just wanted to say that with PhysX enabled i eventually started to get random crashes in game.

google revealed that in order to fix that issue, you had to rename one or two of the PhysX dll files in the Mirror's Edge directory.

apparently the game used those files related to PhysX and they were really out of date, causing the crashes. renaming them allows the game to use your newer installed version of PhysX, and allowing the game to work properly with no crashes.

i forget the exact file(s) you have to rename, but google is your friend.

Damn, at that price even I'm interested in Mirror's Edge. I bought it even though I only have a netbook (albeit one with an AMD E-350 processor and 8GB of RAM, which is as good as it gets for netbook gaming). I wonder if I can get a decent framerate if I put everything on low...

Also got the Mount & Blade Complete Pack even though I already own the first game. Given the choice I'd rather have a game that's not tied to an online platform, but it was just so cheap! :(

Yes, the SP has a lot of content and is much better than the MP, imo. If you're gonna get one, buy Warband. It's amazing, i have over 130 hours on SP and plenty of characters. I love that game.

I finished Mirror's Edge on PS3 (all trophies in about a month) on Xbox (all achievments in about a day) and will now triple dip on steam to play the definitive version with m&k. LOVE THAT GAME!

Hmm, suppose I'll get it just to own it on Steam. I've already completed it twice on 360 so I don't think I'll really revisit it again anytime soon.

Quick Question: Mirror's Edge PC, does it have any DRM besides Steam of course?
Not as far as I know. You can even muck with the map editor if you want to jump through hoops.

I think Mirror's Edge is great, has good mouse + keyboard controls, and $5 is a great price. I've probably gifted like 7 copies of the game by now, at various prices. Highly recommended.

Of course you don't get the DLC to be compatible unless you got the Origin version, or convinced EA to credit you with the Origin version, or unless you mess with something a user made that might kinda hack it to work with the Steam version. *shrug* I'd still say it's worth it, unless Origina was selling it for $5.

New registry stuff: Metro Last Light, DOTA 2 Dedicated Servers (I assume this will go in the Tools section for anyone with DOTA 2), the press version of Counter Strike: Global Offensive and... wait for it... Railworks 3!!

Fixed my ME issues, took a couple of hours of looking at lots of fixes.

For me I just had to delete my PhysX drivers and let Steam pick the new ones for me.
