Gonna stick with Red Orchestra 2.

It's not. It's a great game. And I generally hate FPSs.Dwayne said:So, Crysis worth a damn? Can't remember which game it is people say the first level is good and then it goes down hill.

The co-op is better than any co-op I have ever played. Ever. In fact, the co-op portion is better than any game I have played this year all together.Stumpokapow said:Still can't convince myself to pull the trigger on Portal 2

mechanically, it's a huge step back from the original. none of the puzzles require any level of agility/dexterity. it's essentially a pure first person puzzle adventure, rather that the action/puzzle hybrid of the original. i guess that's a bonus if you areplanning to play it with a control pad, but to me was a major disappointment.Stumpokapow said:Still can't convince myself to pull the trigger on Portal 2
I can still only think of one puzzle in Portal 1 that required more dexterity than a 3 year old could handle.ghst said:mechanically, it's a huge step back from the original. none of the puzzles require any level of agility/dexterity. it's essentially a pure first person puzzle adventure, rather that the action/puzzle hybrid of the original.

The extra missions, on the other hand...Stallion Free said:I can still only think of one puzzle in Portal 1 that required more dexterity than a 3 year old could handle.

if i had this knowledge beforehand, i'd have probably waited on a sale.Chet Faliszek said:Oddly enough and I worked on Portal, so I know this for sure there were two sections that even PC players got stuck on. The rule when we made Portal 2 was that no matter what the input device PC, controller, whatever we wanted to make it about your ability to understand the problems and solve them, not your ability to execute them. So that wasnt based on us making a console version, that was based on us being able to look at Steam and realising that people stopped playing a three hour game and they never got to the end of it because of this puzzle... and that sucks. We wanted to make sure that when we made this longer experience, people didnt stop after 2 hours because they needed to be in the air and nail something. Theres a puzzle in the first Portal, if you remember, where you have to keep jumping up and then doing a jump back into a portal, and hitting the next one and going all the way up we had to make sure there werent puzzles like that.
I'm waiting for the 10$ sale. Got enough on my plate and not overly anxious to play P2 either.Stumpokapow said:Still can't convince myself to pull the trigger on Portal 2
Relax.MX said:I do not think the comparison is correct or fair, because the games are destined for a different audiences...however...
Red Orchestra 2 is a mess technically...the rentail version is like a beta...I don't think there is justification for cheating people... releasing a game like this
Instead the game of DICE, I think gives what they promised...i know BF3 is not out yet but...
Problems:
Beta BF3 >>>>>>> Rentail RO2

Not that surprising, I can't either. I really liked Portal 1, but at the end of it, I really wasn't craving more Portal so much. Besides, I have no reason to believe I'll enjoy it any less if I play it half a year from now instead of now.snoopeasystreet said:really?

I emailed Steam Support about if I could gift the first if I bought The Orange Box and they said no, so I'm guessing might be the same here. Maybe not though.Stalfos said:I'm planning on getting Portal 2.
