I just played a little Vegas 2 co-op with a friend. I did not expect that to be such a bad looking and feeling game. I think we're gonna give it another shot, but that was ridiculous.
I played throgh Vegas 2 for the first time a few months back. Graphically the game defintley looked like a 3 year old game. I never really thought the game looked bad but it was dissapointing how barren and generic the environments were especially how the game was set in Vegas. It was still a lot of warehouse fighting though there were a couple of cool environments. Also, you and your team's suits had a ton of deatail which looked sort out of place in the detail-less world. I thought the game played great for the most part, couple of hitches here and there but nothing to concerning or game-breaking for me. Overall it was a fun time.
Now I'm a couple hours in to Vegas 1 and it's a bit of a different story. The controls aren't as good and the cover doesn't quite work as well. When stacked up on a wall against the corner all the way, before you jump out, parts of your body are hanging out exposing you. Also, there are times in which I just die instantly, no warning, no sound, no idea from where. Screen just turns red. Vegas 1 does try to have less generic warehouse fighting so far but it's still mostly just casinos. Maybe that will change.
The graphics also aren't as good, but at the same time it's a five year old game from the very start of the HD generation, so I'll give it a bit of a pass. The graphics have a bit of a haze some people are talking about in some levels but in other levels I don't notice it.
