Edit: I'm still looking at it. WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE?

Well, I had someone randomly add me on Steam asking for all of my TF2 hats the other day. To his credit I did say I would think about it, 30 minutes later I got another message saying "can I have my hats now". Er...no.

Anyway, £2.50 for a lot of Broken Sword? Yeah, that's getting bought.

Salsa, I'm pretty sure I had the same person add me, trying to get TF2 stuff. So annoying, everyone always wants Bill's Hat. I don't even play TF2 anymore but that shit is sacred.

Broken Sword going on sale before the remaster of 2 has been added to Steam is pretty lame.

wouldn't it just replace the standard version when released? Anyways i picked the series up on gog, and got the remaster automatically after it was released. This series I like better on gog due to the fact you get both the originals + remasters.

Considering you can't buy BS1 'uncut', I imagine BS2 will automatically be replaced yeah.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Yeah? Why would I want to play it when there is a better version supposedly coming? I don't care if it's free.

"Better" is subjective. The additional content is stuff that was added later and, while nice, isn't necessary and at times feels as bolted on as it actually is. It's not anything like what Lucas did to Star Wars, mind you, but it isn't the final cut of Blade Runner, either.

I thought BS 3 wasn't worth playing? I look at the page and it's got an 83/100 on metacritic...

BS4 (the one not on Steam) is the one that most people consider the falling-off point.

who knows, not even aware if they add new locations

maybe there's just a performance patch out or something tho, am I the only one downloading?

I'm pretty sure it's in a new area or previously unaccessible area. Plus with more voicework and all that other stuff it has to be more than 200mb. No idea what this patch is though.

What's so special about Broken Sword? I bought it because fuck it, it's 2.50, but I'm not familiar with the series.

All I remember about Broken Sword from my childhood is being tied to a chair with a spider in some box or something

pretty sure it was BS2. I think I played it to completion but I cant remember nothing about it..

I have the remake of the first one on Steam, I should play that

The first 2 are among the greatest point and click adventure games ever made. Excellent presentation and perfectly paced.

I don't think that's the case. BS1 had a 'director's cut', which I would say is worse than the original, but BS2 was just remastered.

Haha, I had some one named Nataly add me and ask me to trade them some hats a few days ago. The conversation went something like:

Nataly: hi
me: hi
Nataly: will you want to trade some of your hats?
me: no
Nataly: why not
me: because I don't want to
*Nataly is offline*

we need to find out who this Nataly is

Has a previous user name of Grant. Has a user named Grant in friends list. Looking through Nataly games list has only TF2, TF2 beta, and a worms game that was probably bought at a cheap price to enable TF2 trading. My hypothesis is that Nataly is an alt account for Grant.

Also Nataly has gaffer BigTnaples in friends list so maybe he can add some information. Although he is probably only in Natalys friend list so he can be harassed for TF2 items.

The user that has Nataly blocked twice should click on the second profile so we can get more info from that one.

FYI the Steam version of Broken Sword 2 isn't the remastered version. The developer sent them the files a long time ago and Valve never updated it. They are giving the dev and everyone complaining on the forum the silent treatment while still periodically putting the trilogy on sale like this. It's also a pain in the ass to get running in a nicely sized window.

Maybe they like the original better.

"her" game list:

and the friendslist:

Two free games and the orange box...

Also both Nataly and Grant have a mutual friend in their list. Rant. A

And in Grants friends list another user with only Team Fortress 2 games with an attractive female picture, just like Nataly. Obviously another hat farming alt.

Gentlemen, what we have uncovered here is bigger than Steam or GAF. It's some sort of Ukrainian hat smuggling operation. I fear we have only scratched the surface of this international hat grifting syndicate.

Valve can put the game on sale without the devs permission?

Apologies for those of you awaiting updated Broken Sword 2 on @steam_games - we screwed up, not them. Working with them to get it up v soon

Broken Sword 1's extra content in the remastered version underwhelmed. You get a bit more backstory on a character but the puzzles were devolved to sliding block puzzles and simple substitution puzzles. It gave hints to where you should click. Very ez mode.

2 was good too, had a bit more of a cheesey vibe to it. Director's cut is meant to be coming to Steam at some point- no idea if you will get a free upgrade or not. Never played 3, heard it was mostly block puzzles..

There's a free 2.5 SCUMM game out there for fans of the original style. I plan to play it soon. Price is good, too. Oh how I wish Revolution would make something new...

this has me in the mood for a Blackwell game.
