I like Quantum Conundrum quite a bit. Of course it isn't as good as Portal 1 and 2, but it is probably the best B tier first person puzzler I've played (beating out The Ball and Q.U.B.E.)

The writing is cringe worthy, though.

I fully approve of Stallion's smear campaign of Kim Swift. I mean, it's not really a smear campaign, if it's true. Right? It would take something really outlandish for me to have any objections, because Quantum Conundrum does in fact suck.

Now if it's 3 dollars, who am I to tell anyone not to buy it. Maybe you have really shitty taste. But shitty taste is what you'll need to appreciate it.

I haven't the slightest desire to resume my playthrough of Quantum Conundrum. I actually didn't mind what I played of it, but the motivation to continue just isn't there.

Then I suggest you don't force yourself. Because this was kind of my attitude. And yet I forced myself into believing that if I played a little more, it'd eventually click. And instead I graduated to a level of hatred I rarely have for games. I just flat out hate it. Which is something I'll say of few games.

Your words of wisdom will not go unheeded!

I felt the same way for the DLC. Played through the base game when it came out and it was just okay, nothing special. Then a month later when the DLC comes out, I update the game, start the level, play 10 minutes, quit, right click + delete content. No desire at all to play through it, which makes this yet another wasted season pass purchase.

I started making a list of the games that use the new versus the old content system on Steam (you know, for installing on different drives). From my installed games ~1/3 still use the old. As soon as I finish all of my games, I'll make it public and open it for collaboration if people are interested. Just to keep track.

Hey Jasec, I heard that if you finish all the achievements in Quantum Conundrum it unlocks naughty pics of a legal Saiorse Roman. You should try to unlock them bro, for science.

I feel like I should make a joke about how even if that were true, the game is so bad I couldn't be buggered.

While I did not like the puzzle with "leap of faith" because I had to look up the solution on the web, I felt pleased solving one of the last puzzles by myself. It was in fact one of the only real puzzles in the end of the game.

Been playing around with BPM for some time now. But I still have a question: When browsing your library is there a way to tell if a game is controller enabled (like there is when visiting the game's store page)? I have accumulated quite some games now and it is hard to remember which can be played with a controller and which can't.

They're adding the feature to sort by controller/non-controller supported games. Hopefully it comes soon.

Isn't there a "SteamGAF plays" thread on GAF? It would be cool to play together the same game, and a great way to speed up the clearing of our backlogs. Every two weeks (maybe a month?) we could have a poll on the next game to play. We could have fun bashing QC or be collectively amazed by Bad Rats. I don't know, just a random thought that came into my mind right now :p

There's this thread, but it died a quick death. Steam users don't play games, after all. :p

Edit: I think the thread you're thinking of is this general backlog thread, which mentions Steam in the the title.

Edit: Haha, the last post:
Good idea. Cheers. :) I'll post mine later, if I don't forget.

I forgot.

I would love something like that. We should probably choose games that were recently on sale, so most peopl can actually join.

I think it's a fantastic idea, but I wish there some sort of Steam integration. I mean it's no problem for people to make LTTP threads and whatnot and people will play along, but imagine if within the NeoGAF steam group, you could make a specific event for playing through a game, set up challenges (get certain achievements for finishing the game, time played, etc), and easily see who has done what and compare. edit: I mean, I guess that's sort of game hubs can be, but that's STeam wide, and not for a set group of people.

That THQ 5-pack is tempting...

I guess they really want me to own all of the Deus Ex games. After hearing all the negative things about Invisible War I have to say you are not fooling me with a $2.50 price, not this time steam.
Yes I know its on my wishlist but damnit I wanted to take a stance.

DE:HR is always on sale somewhere. Still though, buy it if you don't.

But meh on the deals for me, my money is safe to buy FTL tomorrow. edit: which now has a store page.

Anyone having issues activating Steam keys? The client silently crashes every time I press "active a product". No error message or nothing, it just shut itself down. Very annoying.

It is up.
Considering Shuggy's levels were well-designed, I expect a good game.

Were you supposed to get a Steam key if you bought the game previously? Can't find a source, but I'm pretty sure I remember reading that.

Bought it a few days ago after price drop.

Edit: Nevermind, it was just added to my Humble Store purchase.

Steam crashed when I tried to activate my Gateways keys and now Steam crashes whenever I click "Activate a product on Steam...". Any ideas?
