The sleazy featured screenshots were kind of funny when it was one or two games, now it's anything with a female character model

Rising on PC would be so great, especially after seeing some of those recent screens. Maybe I'll tweet Kamiya about it!

It will end up locked at 720p and 30fps and use gfwl. With no kbam support. Also, it will come on a disc you have to insert into a PS3 then connect the PS3 to the back of your PC via USB port.

I think I've learned how to get your game greenlighted by the steam community: put tits in it.

I know a title that'll guarantee greenlight: "Porn: The Game".

To get a lower age rating you can probably make all the game "Online" so that the content wouldn't be rated.

Edit: Ask me about Loom© Portal 2 coupon.

Anything without some sort of moderation means the internet is going to turn it into a pile of garbage, e.g. YouTube comments, even though those can be downvoted.

Presumably it's only a matter of time until every game has big screenshots of plot/boss spoilers if those apply to the game.

Having some issues with Kane and Lynch 2 on Steam. Chapter 1 worked perfectly. Chapter 2 starts with a cut-scene that has sound but no video (screen is black) then when the actual mission starts all I can see is blue hazy sky. No character models, no environment, nothing. The game is obviously still running, as I can hear that I am getting shot, but I can't do anything.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes? I have a GTX 560.

When Im trying to buy Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, I get this message:

† Note: You already own the following items in "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive". You will not receive extra copies of these items when you complete this purchase:
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

I already got the beta but not the full game.

Is this normal ?

I got this message: "You already have this game, you may be trying to get it as a gift". Well, not exactly this but a rough translation of it. But buying it seems possible with preoder. It may just be a warning.

I decided to bought it. It added Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to my game list so I'm happy :)

I've been thinking this about all of my console games. I hate to sound like some smug PC elitist, but consoles games look pretty awful by comparison. My PC isn't even that remarkable, and yet it makes everything look and perform so much better.

As I was playing through the demo for "Papo & Yo" last night (yes, I realize that it's not a technical marvel), I couldn't help but wonder why I was sitting there playing a game with marked aliasing, inconsistent framerate and screen tearing at sub-native res when I could have been playing one of more than 100 games that actually looks halfway-decent. (Please note that I'm not trying to string up Papo & Yo specifically. The demo is actually pretty enjoyable, technical and graphical shortcomings notwithstanding.)

I'm much more tolerant of suboptimal performance on handheld devices because I don't really have anything to compare with. PSN games aside, Japanese console exclusives are the only games I have on my PS3 at this point, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it. Quite frankly, if my PS3 didn't offer blu-ray support (not a big movie person, but it's nice to have the option) and include a DS3, then I'd probably just sell it.

This code also works for War in the North, which is on sale today.

I can get behind this.

Hey folks! A question regarding Portal 2 PC & PS3 co-op.

I own Portal 2 on my Steam account and on my PS3.

What's the best way for me and my GF to play this co-op if she wants to play it on the PC?
I guess she needs a Steam account and her copy of Portal 2 (which is not a problem since I got the 75% discount) and then I add her to my PS3 friends list, right? Or...?

There's really no reason today to play your games on console rather than PC. It's cheaper, it looks better, it has a smoother framerate and you can easily check GAF in the loading screens.

But if you can't play said game on PC, you shouldn't miss out on the opportunity of playing it just because of sub-par resolution or framerate, since some console games are truly amazing...

"(...)And this time around, you can actually play with your PC and Mac friends on your PS3, which is a pretty big deal. They show up as any old friend on your Steam friends list — you don’t even need to know whether they’re on a Mac or PC. You’re playing the same content, the game works the same way…it’s super-seamless for everyone. (...)

Jeff, PSB: You will need to sign up for a Steam account to take advantage of that, yes?
Joshua, Valve: If you want to take advantage of that, yes. We don’t require that you sign up if you want to use simple matchmaking or to play with your PS3 friends.
"

So you'll use your Steam friend list for PS3/PC co-op, not your PS3 friend list. Haven't played the PS3 version so can't give you more details though, hopefully that's helpeful enough to point you in the right direction.

Anyone know what to do about this issue? I've never had this happen with a free weekend game before and I don't want to uninstall it in case I do buy it eventually, and end up having to redownload the entire thing.
