I can see why valve took it out, makes the server load even worse with people downloading extra games, exploitable, etc. So much fun though and I'm sure they sell extra games because of it.
I wish we could make our own cheevo hunts through steam. You buy a game or choose one from your inventory and make that the price. Select some achievements and open the hunt for a group of your choosing. Whoever get's all the achievements first automatically get's the price sent to his inventory.

The coal economy was the best pocket prison economy out there. I really hope it returns so I can coal my way toward a Nancy Drew Collection or some such nonsense.
I just figured something out: My secondary computer is out of commission, so I'll prolly have to build my Pentium 4 out of scraps so I can use my alternate Steam accounts to farm some meta-game rewards.
Godammit!
I got a few games for free because of it. More in that first day.

Not to interject - but there's a framework at GamrRank.com that'll let you do it close to that level. You can create a "Medal Challenge" which consists of 2 requirements, and when you have those two achievements, it'll unlock the medal. Then you can look at everyone who unlocked the medal, and randomly pick someone for the gift. However there is some delay, so it won't be immediate and you wouldn't be able to see who REALLY got it first. Also there's no way to restrict it to certain members currently, so the unlocks would be sitewide.
I made a Bad Rats medal the other week and have no regrets. None! (I did not earn said medal.)

No, KF always has seasonal events (wich I think is extremely aweseome, so much free content over the years for a great game) and last year they started even earlier on the 7th.
First one has been on there a while. Probably never got around to lowering the price and have just kept it there from neglect.
GTR 2 is the better game anyways. Although they did have to strip the Porsche and Ferrari cars from the game to clear the legal hurdles and start selling it again. So that trailer is incredibly misleading.
Still, the best reason to own GTR 2 is for the Power and Glory 3.0 mod (assuming you can actually use the Steam version as the "CD-Check" verification.) It's 60/70s car porn like nothing else out there.*

I managed to get a match fairly quickly last, but got wrecked. I'm not especially good at fighting games though. As a casual fighting game I think game is kind of awesome its like a more manageable MvC3. Its a shame people didn't take to it since mechanically at least I'd like another game like it.
Capcom need to get off their asses, and release the update out of limbo.

I played so many games last year because of the Winter Achievement meta game. It felt good to actually be trying out all of those random indie titles that I had picked up for $1-3. If Valve skips out on that this time a round, I will be disappointed.
Now that Greenlight and Big Picture Mode are out, perhaps the people working on the client/store will have time for another meta game. Losing that in favour of flash deals and half assed badges was not a good trade.

Absolutely. Not unlike Far Cry, the game suffers when enemy variety ventures beyond humans, but the first half or so is fantastic. It isn't well-optimised, but that's nothing a bit of brute forcing can't fix.

Yeah, I've been having no problem finding matches. I'm just getting wrecked in each and every one. It's a lot of fun, though, and aside form the hassle I had with Win8/old GFWL install, there hasn't been any probs at all.
It's easily worth 12.49. patch 1.06 should hit any day now.

Give the game patience and it will reward you greatly. For full disclosure I should probably mention that I really enjoyed the second half of the game as well, when many didn't. I think it's a great game.

Cheers. To be safe, I left the game running, but the bloody thing crashed when I switched back to it, so it's nice to know I didn't lose my ~10k souls (yet
