I would recommend Psychonauts as someone else mentioned. A lot of humor and old school Banjo-Kazooie style gameplay.

Psychonauts is a good choice. If you want to try a free-running mirrors edge knockoff with more emphasis on level scaling, inMomentum is a fun romp. Wouldn't say pick it up now, but maybe keep an eye on it during the sale that is cancelled. There's no plot or characters or anything, devoid of all but some quake-like movement tricks and stage bouncin.
