Pretty much.

I'm not so sure anymore (about this going to 75% off on the summer sale). Since this is an all things sonic sale, those usually only go to 50% all the time.

Edit: I should put a disclaimer that I want it cheaper than 50% off because I want to buy BOTH Sonic Kart-Racing Games, even though I don't need it. I already have the first one on the XBox360, but I want it all on PC. Also because I'm cheap.

Is steam doing some push for a seperate category of games with early access? I saw Drunken Robot Pornography pop up and there was all sorts of find out more about early access and use our discussion boards to talk about bugs and whatnot. When you click on find out more about early access it takes you to the store page.

Also DRP got taken off the new releases so I wonder if it's not ready yet.

1, 2, 3 KickIt has it as well (that awful alpha Dejobaan game that people got as part of Potato sack).

I'm trying to rope some friends into buying Super Sonic Kart right now, but if they're not game, I'll be hosting one for gaffers if anybody is interested.

Same dev hmmm.

It would be interesting to see valve actively encouraging developers to be using steam as their beta testing platform, even though some have been doing this for a while now just because of how beta has become more of a marketing thing than an actual development step now.

Edit: And now Prison Architect...

Kenshi and and Prison Achitect are "alpha access" as well. Amusingly, ARMA III alpha is not listed as "alpha access".

Kenshi sounds kind of intriguing. I wonder if it would scratch that same itch that Mount and Blade did...

Good to see Steam gearing up for a big year of Kickstarter betas with the Early Release section.

worked great, thanks. Company of Heroes and Binding of Isaac needed to be moved to the C drive but everything else was fine.

Nice! I ran into the same glitch last time I changed Windows so I was pleased when it ended up be pretty easy to fix.

Oh fuck yeah KSP! Their patcher sucks so bad, I hope we get a free steam key if we already bought the game on the site.

I have no linkable source for this but I think I remember them saying forever ago on their message boards that you would be able to get a steam key from them when they made it on the service.

Hold on. Call me thick if you will but I preordered BioShock Infinite elsewhere so haven't been following the Steam/GMG/Amazon rewards thing but is the release date on Steam really the 25th? That's a pain as I've just got a dispatch email and should have it tomorrow.

I show as the 26th (Tuesday).

5 days, 11 hours.

I'm baffled at the idea of dubbing it"early access". Early access to what? The game? Well it's out now! I can pay for it and play it! It's not some "magic hidden sign up for this and sign waivers and no telling anyone because of NDA early access". It's there to play and have fun with it. Is it a finished product? Well it would seem not, but what game is finished these days anyway when it's released. Is it some sort of backdoor kickstart? Hey, pay for early access! Help me finish the game and get all those bugs out that you find. Which in that case it just seems odd to get a early steam release when things like Greenlight could be serving that purpose. I just it extremely odd. *shrug*

If you're talking All-Stars Transformed, I'd definitely take a slot if it falls through and you take gaffers.

Haha yeah, I just find it so much easier to call it Super Sonic Kart. I'll PM you with details later tonight; right now it's looking like my friends won't bite.

yay gnomoria added. Hopefully the dev will be able to give keys out to us that bought it on desura.

He said on the Gnomoria forums this morning:

I'm trying to get keys distributed right now I'm not sure how long it's going to take but everyone who purchased through BMT, Desura or Indie Game Stand should be getting keys "shortly".

The "early access" additions are great. It's nice to have Prison Architect on Steam. And this stream of stuff is really exciting. Valve fires their only dedicated "business and dev relations" guy, then proceeds to release everything on Steam.

Yes people need to get Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed. One of the best arcarde racers this year and it looks amazing on PC and runs at 60fps.

I think I must have entered into an alternate reality from you guys then. Just checked the release date and yeah it's meant to be a world wide release for 26th like you said but Steam gives me this.

My preorder says 22nd and I'll have it by 21st. Oh well it's not like I haven't got something else to be getting on with in the meantime.
