The PC port is a mess last I tried. Around the level of Saints Row 2 in playability.

That sounds terrible. I've played Saints Row 2 for about 45 minutes last year and it was probably the worst game I've played in a long time. Just the fact that it doesn't use the analogue triggers for acceleration and breaking makes it unplayable for me. I guess I need to get back to Remeber Me, if I want an ass kicking heroine. Blood Rayne 2 on Steam would be cool, too.

That one Konami rep on GAF mentioned in an MGR: R thread that it'd be very unlikely for El Shaddai to be ported over to PC, logistically speaking.

Both Blood Rayne and Blood Rayne 2 are available on Steam actually, they never go on sale though so people forget about them.

I actually picked up Advent Rising last year because I was worried about Majesco's bankruptcy. Looks like a game I would like to play and wanted to pick it up before it disappeared from the store.

Majesco just completely abandoned the platform, but now it seems they are back with Double Dragon Neon.

28 hours in and I would say that actually this is one of the lesser issues. It's a nuisance to be sure, but it didn't take me long to adapt, although your mileage may vary, obviously. However, you do NEED a controller: trying to drive using the keyboard controls is pretty much an exercise in futility.

However, the port as a whole completely lives down to its reputation. It's quite shocking, and this is a tragedy because the game underneath is actually pretty fun. Some of the missions are more annoying than others, inevitably, but it has far more content and customization than SR3 and 4, and Stilwater presents a VASTLY more interesting and varied city environment than Steelport.

I actually love SR2(consider it the best in the series) and agree with you with you on most of what you said. I just never knew SR2 not having analogue trigger driving made it unplayable for some people, but different strokes for different folks.

I still have yet to try the pc port yet though and don't think I want to after all the horrors I hear about it. Luckily my 360 and ps3 versions still work fine.

It's the perfect starting point in my opinion. The tutorial actually helps you get a grasp on the basics of the game (At least it did for me). Much of it is hands-on learning so you don't spend an hour watching a video guide unless you really want to.

I was able to just jump into EUIII, and from what I've played of it so far EUIV seems even more streamlined.
