Played Fable for a few hours. Made it to the archery training in adulthood. Saved my game and quit. Went back to it now and I have to redo the childhood training part again.

Yeah, no thanks.

So is there an actual single-player campaign/storyline to Neo-Scavenger? I'm very interested in this game, but if it's just turn-based survival mode... I'm burnt out from playing games with no real ending to them lately.

Looks like I'm going to get:

Deus Ex: GOTY edition
Thief II (I have not played the first but it's in my account)
Hitman Blood Money
Tomb Raider Anniversary

All solid picks.

FF VII and VIII will get cheaper and Last Remnant I heard was awful, plus I mostly hate JRPGs. If there's anything else I should grab, let me know!

You heard wrong. ; ) If you don't like the genre, you won't like TLR, but it's a good game for JRPG fans.

I'm guessing you already have DX: HR?

Everyone definitely needs to own the classic Deus Ex and Thief games. They're mandatory Steam purchases.
Creating a Steam account should cost $5 and a copy of Deus Ex should come with it. And you shouldn't be allowed to buy anything else until you finish the game.

Can't speak for the Thief games, because I haven't played any despite owning the first 3.

just played hour and half of Mirror of Fate HD, its awesome, I would say I wish I played it back then on the 3ds, but the performance would probably have ruined it. Really liking it, and I feel like I barely scratched the surface yet. I wonder how long it is. I keep running into a million areas I cant access yet and its messing with my ocd lol, damn metroidvanias
Oh damn my friend who loves metroidvanias is going to have to hit up my copy over family sharing.

How is InFlux? It's the Daily Royale and it looks pretty damn sweet to me. Would I like it if I love ball-rolling games like Marble Blast and Switchball? This looks like it has the crazier levels of Marble Blast with the prettier world design of Switchball so I don't even know why I'm asking instead of just buying.

Ohh Arkham Origins is tempting

I have no shortage of games to play so I'll wait for, maybe, a better deal. I still plan to 100% the first two on Steam eventually.

Do I really need a 500gb SSD or is it fine with a 256 one to start with?
Will use it as a C: (OS & programs) + maybe some selected games

I have a 256gb one and I wish I went bigger. Though I bought mine 6 months ago and prices have dropped a bit now. SSD's are godlike.. but that limited space..

I agree. If anything, enjoyment of The Last Remnant hinges on loving the battle system / party tweaking. I really enjoyed it, personally, especially hemming and hawing over union composition.

I don't see why one can't enjoy such a nice RPG as the Last Remnant, even if one is not into JRPGs specifically. Other story if someone hates RPGs...

SteamGAF, have you any impressions on Age of Wushu? It's a free-to-play game releasing on Steam in a couple hours, according to the store page.

I've heard it described as a "topnotch sandbox MMORPG that lets player become an aspiring Kung-Fu master." Since I've always wanted to be a kung-fu master it seems perfect for me.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I know there were talks of that, but this has happened before and unless they are faking game size and actual real time then idk what to tell ya. It's way faster than Steam

I think it's been proven that (similar to Steam) Origin compresses it's games for download. Then decompresses them locally to full size.

However, while Steam shows you the actual download size / speed, Origin shows you the progress of the combined download/unpack operation as MB/s. Sure, it's the speed it's arriving on your disk, but it's definitely not the speed it's actually downloading the game's files.

how can you confirm you're downloading 50 gigs?

well, I can only attest to the size of the location folder

ah, this would explain it

I dont know, I kinda like the illusion, i'll take the blue pill

Alright Murdered SS and Moebius are available on GMG, I have $17.50 GMG credit, just gonna keep saving that ish up, wait for a bigger discount code from GMG, and apply them cash rewards on Moebius and hopefully get it for dirt cheap.
THEN I'LL USE THE CASH REWARDS FROM MOEBIUS TO DROP THE PRICE OF MURDERED SS LOWER TOO!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Valve needs to steal license develop a similar compression scheme ASAP, because games of the same size seem to download noticeably faster for me through Origin than they do Steam.

Oh wow, what a steal

Only 27,99€ for two games priced at 5,99€ each. Dat saving.
It's not as extreme, but Steam always does that to me whenever there's a bundle deal. It's always like 1% more expensive than buying the included bits separately. Is that a global thing or are the admins in my region smoking crack?

And if that's true, it would make a massive difference in download time for Titanfall, considering the uncompressed audio.
