Happy Birthday!
Thanks, and don't despair, the wait will be worth it, I enjoyed a lot the game on 360.
Happy Birthday!
Wait, I preloaded the game... but it's downloading everything again?
Did you play online coop? I'd love to know how that works since I read mixed reviews about it.
I was asleep >_<
The downsides: there isn't much (any?) new content here. And of course, they opted for a base price that is quite a bit higher than their Android/iOS version.
It should just be unpacking...
what is that disk busy icon they added on the downloads list? my downloads are really slow now
Still, why did my harddrive went down in size
It downloads compressed files and then after the preload period it extracts the files from them, basically doubling the space requirements during the process.
It took around 20 minutes to complete on my PC.
So my HDD should be normal after this unpacking then.
What problems were you running into? AA/AF is really unoptimized, I had to put it into windowed mode initially and then it jumped from 10 FPS to 60 even when I put it back into full screen.
From Steam forums
"Potato PC here.
Radeon HD 3650 512 DDR3, 4 gigs of DDR3 and Intel Pentium E2500 dualcore.
Running on 1280x720, shadows on low, blur disabled because who wants blur, zangeki and zantime on med-high, no AA or texture filtering and its running as good as it can"
Consortium is really neat, people should give it a go as 17.99 (or around 14 if you use a trader) really isn't much to support a dev doing as much as they are. Reminds me a bit of The Last Express in terms of using one location where you can miss certain events depending on where you are and who you talk to. Dialogue system is a bit like Alpha Protocol in terms of being timed and having reactions affect your relation with them, although what's neat is often times you will have the option to talk to multiple people at once. So, if one person asks you a question you can choose to offend them by answering the superior or something along those lines. Really seems like there's an incredible amount of branching possibilities. Only real negative so far is the FPS elements are a bit poor but you can get through the entire game without firing a bullet it seems as I've managed to talk my way out of everything.
My laptop is some Intel 2,2ghz dual core, 630M and 6 gigs of RAM. It was semi stable 22 fps all the time, the game started in Windowed/720p mode with everything set to med and the intro screen barely ran 4 fps while the game was semi playable.
Maybe I'll try again.
I've been waiting years for a discount on that damn Darkest of Days game, even going so far as posting on the publisher's facebook page. They're some kind of silly casino game pub now. I'm going to hold off until the next Xmas sale and break down and pay full price then.I can't help but a feel a little bad that people were coughing up about 17x what I paid for the game, but I'd be lying if I said that buying two $20 games that haven't been discounted in yonks, without dipping into my own pocket, doesn't feel wonderful:

What game were you selling?
Kabouter contacted the publisher behind Darkest of Days to implore them to put it on sale during the Steam sale. They wrote back to him to explain that they'd love to, but it's out of their hands as their "owner has signed a new agreement". I have no idea what that means, but I'd take it as a confirmation that it won't be a daily deal but also that if it's a game you want to own and never bothered to buy, that it is a delisting risk.
The developer now sells engine tech independently, and the publisher now sells casino and gambling software. Again, red flags.
Motor Rock. I bought three spares for $11 back when it hit Steam and yesterday I sold one copy for 25 TF2 keys and the remaining two copies for 50 Dota 2 keys. I'm set to make just under $164.

Time for a Steam re-release campaign?

Yep, went down to just under 25 GB after all that.
I guess I better go ahead and buy it now then. I feel extra dumb now for passing on $5 hard copies of the game I found a couple of months ago at a discount store. (Ollies)Apparently Phantom has disowned its non-casino endeavours:
According to the USPTO, the IP is owned by the developer, 8monkey Labs, so my deduction is that the "new agreement" pertains to 8monkey securing distribution rights once Phantom's current publishing contract has expired. If so, the million-dollar question then becomes: Will 8monkey relist the game on Steam, and is the risk of the answer being "no" one you want to take? As for your question:
I was getting 4 FPS in menu screens as well until I went windowed mode.
I've since gone back to full screen and never dipped below 60 FPS.
Has anyone here gone in on the Incognita alpha from Klei? I'm super-curious but it's apparently ultra-mega-super-alpha, so i'm not sure if it's time for me to jump in yet. Still, I noticed that if you buy it now it comes with a free second copy. Hmm...
Can I customize the resolution in MGR?
Nice tag. So fitting.Milamber

Yeah, I was looking for Riddick during the sale and noticed it wasn't there anymore. Such a shame, as I never got to play a single version of it.

A few extra keys. Good luck!
Steam version is the one you buy to show off to your friends.
GoG version is the one you actually want to take out for a spin.
I am forever going to be insanely jealous of OutRun 2006 owners. If only I had known back then.

Oh god I know. -_- it hurts so much. I had the Xbox one! It felt wasteful to re-buy it!
So I can't get my PS3 controller to work with Windows 7 over a wired connection (no bluetooth on my computer). Any ideas?
Edit: Also, it's for a good cause (Dark Souls)!

Are there any cheap deals on MGR:R right now? My brother is looking and missed out on the sale (there were some yesterday but I can't remember where)
If you are in the US the 25% voucher on GMG is still up I think?
