If you've played Bayonetta, or any other character action game for that matter, start MGR on Hard.
I started it on Hard and I have only dabbled in the genre. Difficulty ramps up to 11 once you bump it up to Very Hard. If you are experienced, input the Konami code to unlock Very Hard from the start.

Bayonetta's got Gracious and Glorious, but Revengeance has the Mastiffs.
And the are more Mastiffs than Gracious and Glorious.

as far as difficulty goes they're pretty similar, hard is pretty challenging on both and I'd suggest playing on normal if it's your first time
but imo bayo is a much better game

Difficulty is similar, but Bayonetta is much better.

The midweek madness really is a couple of golden oldies.

Bayonetta's camera was much less spastic, and Bayonetta was a lot more fun. It also looked better and played better, so...

Combat system is better, game is more fun, levels are better and more varied, enemies are ok in both games, maybe slightly better in Bayo.

I'd like to see Steam or GOG get the old X-Wing and Tie-fighter games. Probably more than likely GOG due to the age of the games. I think I still have the discs laying around somewhere.

In a perfect world, this would actually be a tease rather than just salt in the wound. Get your hands on that Ferrari licence again, Sega! It'll pay for itself.
I'm insanely curious as to why we haven't seen those games on GOG or Steam yet. The public outcry for them is pretty intense. There must be some technical or legal problem.
edit: refresh my memory. Didn't Tie Fighter have a really bizarre take on the Empire? Like mustache-twirling, cartoon-villain evil?
So the soundtrack is among the top sellers? Seems legit.

Bayo is fantastic, easily better than both those games, once you master the combat at least, which flows beautifully when you know what you're doing.
I genuinely like DmC more, I'm not joking.
