just promise you won't stop working on the plugin if you end up getting hired! :)

I'd imagine a few of the features which make enhancedsteam a must have (at least for me) would never make it into the storefront/client itself. stuff like pricing history, regional pricing, third-party links to pc gaming wiki/hltb,...

The plugin code is open source. I've also already made arrangements with one of the most active code contributors that (in the event that I'm hired by Valve) he'll take over the plugin development. So, no need to worry. :)

But yeah goodluck man! Your client has literally made me not use the client beyond playing games (I know there was a dns trick you made, but just too lazy to install it ... besides chrome is faster then their client)

It's not a huge stash, just a playboy-esque magazine... but for the purposes of the review, stash seemed better than just saying "Dad's copy of Playboy" or whatever... especially since he thought he was clever hiding it in that box. ;)

Whoa, holy schnikes... you can get the existing SCP DS3 Service to work with DS4! And I managed to get them all working! HYPE is an understatement.

I don't know, I'm not even sure rumble works -- but after the dropped input windows I was getting with DS4 Tool and not really using the touchpad for anything, I was more than happy to switch. I don't know if rumble works either yet... and I know there's no "play with lightbar color" option yet either.

Now if only I could disable big picture mode.

Clearly. Although I do know that it has an overabundance of Starbucks and they're apparently even worse at dealing with snow than my fellow DC area residents.

I've had the bottled Starbucks kind before, and the minimal caffeine content (70mg?) didn't seem worth the massive amount of sugar ingested (33g).

What's the policy for censorship on Steam? This Loren the Amazon Princess issue is reminding me of Yesterday (which is heavily censored, at least in the US) as compared to, say, The Void (which has no age check but even the trailer has full frontal nudity).

Also: Milamber's tag (and the fact that none of those games are or will ever be on Steam).

I downloaded the demo for Loren-- it has the same resolution as Long Live the Queen, and looks fine blown up to 1080p.

Sad thing about movember - lot's of people don't really know it's real purpose or intention.

edit: that controller is getting weirder, 8 face buttons? no dpad? Also looks really unergonomical - those touchpads are really close to the edge.

Hopefully no touch screen takes a huge part out of the cost of the thing. Did they ever even have a working model that had the touch screen? I haven't been following it that closely (honestly I just wasn't interested at all with what they announced, between what it offers and the apparent high cost) but I hadn't seen anything but the mockup with 4 buttons where a touch screen would go.

Much prefer the button layout there. Though would have liked to have seen what some devs would have done with the touchscreen.

Know what you mean. It does have a bit of significance for me due to several close relatives and my old boss passing away from cancer including prostate cancer.

Interesting, I'm hoping that for retail they go with a standard dpad instead of the left hand corner abxy buttons in the mockup as I would imagine that would be very awkward for fighting games, platformers, sidescrollers, etc.

I'm trying to like Dark Souls but I just can't, setting seems fairly dull and combat feels unresponsive, maybe that's just because I'm too used to games like GOW/DMC. I'm liking the fact that it's a bit more challenging than other games I've played but the infrequent checkpoints just turns everything into a chore. I'm still near the beginning though, Is it worth me sticking with it for a bit longer or is it unlikely that I'm going to enjoy the rest of the ride?

See the way I see it that the Steam Controller isn't really going to replace or be better than a traditional controller or stick for fighting games or character action games or platformers. Where it really is going to shine is keyboard and mouse centric games. It will help make something like Civ or Total War more accessible from the sofa.

I'd recommend watching a stream so you understand how to play. It's the exact opposite of a hack/slash action game.

I swear, the extension reviewers at Mozilla are just trolling me.

So a version of Enhanced Steam was rejected because there were some un-sanitized elements inserted into the DOM. Mozilla wants anything that could return variable data to be run through an HTML sanitation routine. Fair enough.

So I did that.

Now the latest version got rejected because "You should not be escaping HTML metacharacters in URL parameters".

Firefox users, it may be a while longer before the next version gets approved. The one that's hosted by Mozilla is getting rather old (since before the Winter Sale) but the last three versions I've uploaded to them have been rejected for the above reasons.

Related: is something going on right now about using an actual picture of yourself as your avatar? Seems like a lot of people are doing it. It counters the saoirse invasion.

That is a pretty fair point since when the first demonstration came out they were showing how viable it was for games like Civ5 and other m+kb centric games I believe
