After a long time I finally finished Dark Souls II my good people. I played on a daily-basis since the game was released. I was there, on launch-day at midnight and while I had big expectations for the game I could not had the same amount of fun which I had in the two previously released Souls games. After around 30-40 hours I decided to put it on hold.

Many weeks and months later I decided to give another try and my experience felt better. I felt the reason I was disliking was because I was in an area where I was having a bit of difficulty on a certain boss and to make things worst, the area felt quite dark and depressing affecting my mood to play the game. The other aspect was that I felt the "enemies" were cheap and provided an unfair challenge. This is no surprise to me, because, while I love the games I've never been great at them.

After the credits I went ahead and defeated two optional bosses that I couldn't beat them when I first tried, long time ago. Both were defeated during my first try and I also found a new covenant. I might help some players now as a "Thank you" for all those helpful messages that warned me of danger or hidden items. I already helped around 5-10 brave souls clearing a Boss and it feels great to help others. I'm also aware that there's still more things to be done, I'll look for some of them.

I will be returning to the universe soon, I'm sure of it, but for now I'm really happy for finishing my third Souls game. :)

You make me so proud, dear Monk! You must be great at games if you managed to beat such a game, I gave up at the third boss of Dark Souls 1.

i haven't been part of one since 2007's Sector 7 thing for Transformers

This seems like such an exceptionally lazy ARG attempt. :c I love it when they go really, really deep into some crazy methods of solving portions of the overall puzzle and not just something like this stream. I guess I've been spoiled by the crazier ones like I Love Bees, This is Not Porn and Year Zero which really required community involvement and rewarded outside-the-box thinking to get to the next part of the rabbit hole.

Just pull the plug on this and give up the trailer, Squeenix.

You missed Portal 2's early release ARG? That was a lot of fun... up until GLaDOS@Home, which, to be fair, was EA's fault.

Oh man, how could I forget that one? That was the high bar of both developer and community involvement that set them up for disappointing the community as their sale games lacked the creativity and spark of that event and the sales that happened before and after it. Really, really insane that Valve got so many devs on board to create so much new content for their own games to basically advertise for Portal 2.

I particularly liked the ApSci-themed levels for The Ball. Being a first-person puzzle game itself, they didn't feel out of place.

Slightly more disturbing news, I'm playing Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z (no that's not the disturbing part :p) and the female "Oracle" character whose name I honestly can't remember (you know the one who sits around and only talks to you over radio but in a game like this of course she's scantily clad!)

Well, in the 2nd last level it reveals...
after Yaiba is killed at the start and resurrected, she has sex with your copse in order to as she puts it "test your systems" and some things "didn't need to be enhanced"
I have no idea what this has to do with your resurrection or even the grander plot but the game really felt the need to show off this nugget of truth =/

It's a 3 day interactive thing for an announcement. Not sure what you all expected, but it sounded like something slow and boring and possibly awful to watch from the beginning.

Think I'm almost done with RE4. Got up to the part where the little dude threw me into a pit and now I got his right hand man stalking me around and shit.
