So since I'm kind of tired of Hearthstone and the recent Magic release got terrible impressions... can anyone recommend me a card game on Steam? Should I just play some of the older Magic games? I'm up for PvP or PvE, doesnt matter.

The fact we have exclusives to begin with is stupid, but the fact people live and die by them is just staggering.
Exclusives mean less people get to play games, who gives a flying fuck what the platform is....
I'd be curious to know how many exclusives LITERALLY drove someone to buy a new console.

Yet here's the flipside: making an exclusive allows things that multiplats don't. I mean this is very ironic when you think about it. Take Star Citizen for example. What if it couldn't be an exclusive? It couldn't be Star Citizen. It's as simple as that.
With console exclusives platform owners sometimes take risks to boost their platform as a whole rather than trying to make the game invidually succesful. I'd argue that's what Wonderful 101 on Wii U is. It was PlatinumGames' most expensive game and it still is. Who would have funded it to be a multiplat? From save dev comes another example which is Bayonetta 2. So my argument is as follows: exclusives allow games that wouldn't be possible otherwise exist. That's why I hope exclusives never go away. Of course there are different kind of exclusives but that's another thing.
Marmite is awful and should be rid of utterly; Vegemite, though, is awesome and should replace the Union Jack on the Australian flag.
That's for me to know.
I don't enter junk giveaways, because someone might actually want to play the games; I don't enter licensed game giveaways for the same reason; and I don't enter giveaways for games I'm genuinely interested in since I can buy them for myself.

It's far from barren but it also depends on what you like to do socially. There's always something to do, just a matter of going out and, well, doing it!
I've noticed a lot of disappointment that MK10 (unconfirmed) isn't exclusive to next gen consoles and pc. Yeah, yeah being held back by outdated hardware, but clearly there are cases for exclusives.

I really didn't bother looking into those threads past the first couple of pages due to there being more moaning about port pegging than actually anyone port begging in the first place.

Exclusives certainly drive people to buy consoles. It doesn't have to be just one game and a eureka moment where somebody is off to the store. But a building of exclusives definitely gets a lot of people to buy consoles. Ask any PC gamer. Hell, even I'm happy with my PS3, even if I don't use it a whole lot for actual gaming.
And exclusives are completely necessary. The industry would dramatically change without them, including the closing down of dozens of large, first-party studios, putting hundreds or thousands of people out of jobs and less games overall for us.

I might pick it up when it's cheap. Remake was one of the better Gamecube games in general, I'd love to finally pick it up again. And now I await REmake 2.

So this is what Comet turned into? I'm interested in seeing how the exploration of the Appalachia mountains and the northern Atlantic will be handled. I'm not expecting much since it's a spinoff though. If I can keep my expectations low, I won't be horribly disappointed.
I'd rather have true, not half-assed, remakes of SH 1-4 than REmake, to be honest.
Crawl looks so good. The trailer pretty much sold me on the game. I'm waiting until they announce the teased online multiplayer though.

I can definitely see why some people, mainly fanboys, would hate something like that happening. It was the only exclusive on the Xbone that really interests me (and that's mainly because it has Halo 2, a game that I have a lot of nostalgia for) other than D4. Which is great, because I wasn't going to pick up an Xbone anyway.
