I'm legit shook at that Silent Hill Announcement.
That's how you do a game reveal. That's easily the best reveal I have seen in ages.
Especially because of all the talent working on it. It's just nuts.

You know, I have a funny feeling it won't be first person. That might just be me.

Teaser =/= Gameplay

I'm ready to accept crow though.

Regardless, the first person parts of SH4 were the best parts.

I think it was in First Person to not take away from the Norman Reedus reveal.
If we get more info at TGS or E32015 I bet they'll confirm Third Person. Hell we might even get some info on that hour long MGS stream just because.

The teaser says it isn't representative of the final product. Anyway, Silent Hill: The Room was first person while in the room and went to third person everywhere else. It could be like that if anything.

I'm definitely interested to see how that turns out, especially because I still don't know what Amazon intends to do in the games industry. Given Double Helix's track record, I'm interested, but not excited.

Maybe.. I hope I'm wrong, but my gut feeling is to not trust Kojima after what he did to Castlevania and Metal Gear... I'm afraid Silent Hill will follow the pattern of westernizing classic Japanese franchises.

The one Castlevania he had a hand in was the good one, the other ones were notably worse. But yeah I can understand that.

The Silent Hill teaser on PSN is too much for my heart. First person horror games are so much harder for me to play than something like Fatal Frame or most Silent Hills. In general though horror games affect me a lot more than they used to, not sure why.

Just played a few minutes of P.T. and watched the rest on twitch, absolutely fantastic how they revealed the new Silent Hill, it's the best made reveal in recent memory for me.

Plus it's a riddick game you kinda have to have Vin regardless.

How much of a role did Kojima actually have on Lords of Shadow though? I got the impression that while there was a lot of hype about the game being announced with Koji Pro attached, his actual contributions were fairly minimal.

Man, I can't finish this teaser and it's bright daylight. Immersive, first person horror is just too much for me. It will take me 30 hours to finish the game as I'll be pausing every few seconds.

Hopefully it is similar to the Room, which was and still is an incredible game.

No, I don't own that one. Kind of annoying that I can't pinpoint it but I have 600+ games so not much I can do...

edit - it could be Red Orchestra 2 Beta no longer counting but I thought they made that change a month ago. Either way I'm going to export a list of all my games for future reference.

I didn't mind The Room, to be honest. I'd just like some sort of return to older games- permanent inventory, less linear areas, and an overall design that evokes the unnerving, psychologically grotesque atmosphere that made Silent Hill 2 so memorable.

And a female protagonist that resembles Saoirse Ronan. Dormer would be a close second.

Henry was a somewhat boring protag for The Room, but it had plenty of classic moments. The first person segments in the apartment had a lot of surprises as well. I loved seeing what crazy stuff was hidden just beyond the window.

I'm so glad to see Konami giving the series proper treatment again. I just hope it isn't a ship too late to save a drowning witch.

I just played transistor till the first savepoint, am I the only one confused by the absence of a "tutorial"? It gives you tips but I found it disorienting

I thought it was sufficient for an introduction but there definitely are some things you have to figure out yourself.

Once you reach the first savepoint, you can read more about what functions you actually have equipped and it'll be pretty clear. But yeah, they don't explain anything in the first 5 mins or so.

Dark Blood Online can let you play with characters that have small boobs.
