Meh...neither of the first 2 Max Payne games have controller support.

You can use a program like Xpadder to set it up. I think one of the games even has some form of sticky aim if you enable it. I actually played a decent amount of it with a controller when someone cried about controller support a few years ago.

Due to the MGS V announcement. I've been in a mood for Metal Gear.

Now to find my PS2 somewhere. >_>

On another note: MGS2 PC should be on Steam, hopefully they wise up and release it there. Probably the best MGS, or at least, on par with MGS3, and everyone should play it. Very polished game.

Just rip the isos and emulate the games. I do remember there being some kind of control issues with the MGS games though.

They'd need to do a new port of it at this time.
The original was very system and hardware-at-the-time dependent.

I'd imagine Konami will work on an x86 port of the Legacy Collection at one point for PC/Current-gen.

I toughed it through FEAR with a kb/m, I probably will with this. But today I just wanted to play a shooter with my 360 controller.

Well as someone who has played Max Payne on PC and OG Xbox when you get to the levels An Empire of Evil and more so Ragna Rock you'll be wishing you had the precission of a mouse.

MP1 is hard as nails even on the lowest difficulty with kb/m.

Yeah, I vaguely recall a section
it must be some theater, before the point where Max Payne finds himself in a sort of nightmare
where enemies where everywhere and shooting at you all the time, in order to pass it since my frustration was rising I felt compelled to use the console and enable invincibility, and even so it took me some time.

I'm a product of my humble console origins.

The only game I've ever preferred the kb/m to the controller is The Walking Dead Season 1. The "Shoot them before they get to you" moments are so shite to try with a controller.

You'll start to get more and more used to it and one day you'll pick up a controller for a new shooter and it'll hit you that can't control it worth shit anymore. Give it time.

Cautiously optimistic because of Dredmor, but Clockwork Empires seems very early access.

That's pretty sad to hear really, as it's been in development for something like two years now. Seems like they may be trying to do too much.

Remember when we used to play shooters like Quake with keyboard only? And preferred it that way?
</old fart mode>

Too old school for me, I have to use a mouse ;-)

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I'd like to think this is Valve's way of saying "Thanks for helping us get more money in market fees"

Not sure if I should unpack or not. Tempted to try for those foils.

I think my Adobe claw was fostered by Doom's Control, Alt, Shift and Space function mainstays. Before the focus was on WASD the cursor keys ruled supreme!

Well, to be fair, it's very ambitious.

Yeah, and that scares me really. I guess in my head I always saw a game like Caeser or Tropico, just in a Steampunk setting. But if they're basically trying to do Dwarf Fortress with good graphics and all those things too, it will never be finished.

I'd like to think this is Valve's way of saying "Thanks for helping us get more money in market fees"

I'd take the two dollars if you can get it. That's a pretty high margin to give up for one percent chance.

i feel like unpacking is usually worth it since cards alone are usually worth just a bit less than the pack and you may get a foil

I'm surprised about the price for the Gold edition in Europe. 74,99€ discounted to 64,99€ instead of an awesome 84.99€? What happened to Ubi?!
The UK prices are ridiculous... For the normal edition they are under the impression euros = pounds, lol. Yeah, right.

Yeah, and then I went to my first LAN party and learned just how bad of an idea not using a mouse on Quake or Doom was.

What's quite funny that despite Ubi locking their releases down quite tight you can still circumnavigate the higher UK prices through trading with either EU territory or NA no problems. To be fair though I have no interest in The Crew, still waiting to see what the performance is like on Unity before making a decision to pick up a cheap Uplay code (it's inevitable it will be a Nvidia bundled game) and I'll probably pick up Far Cry 4 when it's a fiver or something so not really fussed if they want to charge us the earth. I've got other stupid things I've been spending it on at the moment.

Electronic Super Joy is 79 cents on the Humble Store. How is it?

Go grab it, it is awesome!

It is a little difficult, but there are a lot of save points and you respawn immediately after each deat, besides the music in the background keeps you going.

Incidentally I find the keyboard only controls to be very precise, and the game is fair although challenging.

play it on mute or with headphones because the sound effects are all really pornographic

Yeah, those "Oh yeah"s sound like they took them off a porn movie :D

Happy birthday to me! Bought myself a copy of GalCivIII to celebrate, which alongside the Elite: Dangerous beta access I bought as an early present last week means I spent way too much on myself. Now to just get through the work day so I can have a few rums and get into some drunken gaming.

I liked what I played of The Crew beta, so I'd have considered it for a better price. Even the american price is more than what I'd pay for it, especially considering how cheap you can buy retail copies.
