Been trying to make it work since this monday, still haven't figured how. :/

I didn't have much issue with FO3 (more with NV), but I know it has issues with multicore CPUs, so you could try setting it's affinity to just one core. I think there's some player patches on Nexus that help too, I used the 4gb ram one for FO and NV.

It worked fine on W7. Over here I keep getting errors of missing dll's that are inside the folder and the game crashing for no reason at startup. :/

Most 'Games for Windows Live' games require you to uninstall the 'Games for Windows Live' client that came with the game and install the latest version from the xbox website.

Waiting on Bastion to be a daily/flash deal. Picked up the game in the summer and now I want the soundtrack since the music is awesome :(

I want a big package with everything Civ 5, but at the moment it's a big mess of various packages with some including bits, but not all.
You only need three packages:
Civilization V: Game of the Year (contains all DLC except Korea and Ancient World)
Korea and Wonders of the Ancient World Combo Pack
Gods and Kings

(Apparently there'll be a Black Friday deal on Amazon with a bundle of Civ V GOTY + Gods and Kings for $19.99 and Korea/Ancient World for $1.87.)

I'm thinking about picking up Borderlands 2 for my Mac and was wondering how the port stands up. Has anyone, that has a Mac & Borderlands 2, given it a shot?

I was going to wait till next week when it should be caught up with the current patch version (you won't be able to play with PC people till then).

Huh, didn't know about that. Thanks for the heads up! I might just get it during the sale and then just play single player until the 2 games are synced up patch-wise.

Two Worlds II, GAF.
Yay or nay?

If you can live with the dated visuals and the horrible voiceacting then its a decent open world rpg.

6/10 kinda game...

Certainly a lot better then the first one though. I kind of hope they make a third installment, if they can manage to improve the game as much as they did II compared to I.
Imo its also quiet alot better then Risen 2.

Dear Esther worth two bucks? I've read some reviews and they are conflicting...

Some say it's walk in a straight line and ultra boring, others say the story is pretty good...

GAF reveal the truth.

I did not enjoy it. Bought it on another sale at similar price and regreted it. You really are just walking forward. I guess you can enjoy it if the mood of the game somehow gets you. It did not get me, so ultra boring is right.

Nothing on interest yet or anything amazon or other stores haven't put sales on yet.
Dissapointed that Xcom is a little bit cheaper. Was thinking it would at least hit 30.

I love the feeling of finally playing a game you bought a couple of sales ago and being able to say " Whoa, for $5-$10 this was totally worth it :D "

Bought so far:

  • Broken Sword Trilogy
  • Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
  • KOTOR 2

Anyone know if the Operation Flashpoint: Red River is better or worse than Dragon Rising?

If Heroes IV gets cheaper I might jump in. And if Bastion comes on sale. Other than that I think I might actually not buy anything this sale.

Yeah right...

It's a pretty walking simulator. Yes.

It's a gorgeous walking simulator with great music. Worth $2. Just realize, that all you literally do, is walk forward. But it's still pretty cool, it's all about trying to piece the history of the place your at together. The caves in the game are worth it alone.

What's the consensus on THQ? I want to play Darksiders II at some point, but it's unlikely that I'll play it before the new year. Will it be cheaper in the winter sale? Or will THQ even still be in business then?

Zeno Clash is 90% off. Don't think anything beats that.

I can see why people are ignorant about The Walking Dead. The only active thread on this board is the spoiler thread. It's really really not hospitable to new faces. I wouldn't click it half way through the season to find out what the hype is about. I think it's one of the coolest but also most insular threads on GAF.

Valve needs to make it easier to browse all friend's wishlists.

Broken Sword 2: Director's Cut still not on Steam.

Blur flash sale please. I know Bizarre probably won't get any cash, and an elite of about 20 people play it but I want in.

If they go out of business, the games will be either removed from steam or not be part of a sale anymore.

This is a great game for a cheap price!

I also recommend this. I don't play a lot of puzzle games, but the feeling of mindbending complexity was unique, and I felt like my brain was actually growing or something. I would finish a level, feel all satisfied, and then the next level would be all NOW IN THREE DIMENSIONS, and you had to think about things in a different way.

This is part of the new updated Amazon Steam activating sale info I noticed. Tony is still updating the OP on CAG now.

I tried to do a decent xelios style formatting job for the info, games that are struck through are NOT Steam activated. Going by their product pages, the rest are.

If you want something a bit more arcadey, and slightly less challenging check out Puzzle Dimension.

I heard LA Noire might be going for $5 this week, anyone know if there's any truth to that? I'm outside the US so struggling to follow all the deals.
