Bought inMomentum, hope it's as good as it seems.

Just 25 more minutes till the new batch of flash deals appears.

How is it that whenever Steam Sales come around I find myself with no money? Every freaking time. Clearly the wife and I must be doing something wrong.

I wish I could be purchasing right now:
- Civilization V: Gods & Kings
- SIM City 4
- The Walking Dead
- XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Oh well, guess I'm shit out of luck.

Really just want a better price on Castle Crashers and Hotline Miami. Although...if the Skyrim DLC drops I may bite too. Damnit Gaben....

I broke down and brought Company of Heroes. There are worst things to spend $2.50 on, and this looks like a solid RTS.

Defender's Quest is full of win. Just got done with a couple play session, game is great. I'm lazy though so I'll just post my thoughts from the Madden thread here:

I'm normally not big on tower defense either, but I just got done playing this game for a couple hours. I have all these other games and I'm going to spend time this weekend playing an indie game. It's great.

It's a combination of tower defense with rpg style leveling up. There aren't a ton of troops you lay down in battle, but they are all very efficient. You gain XP every battle and use this to improve your commander and troops. There are skill trees in the game for every character, new weapons and armor to purchase, really well fleshed out. This is easily the best TD game I've ever played.

I think you'll be able to get it for $6 from gamefly tomorrow. Steam.

Has anyone tried Cargo Commander or Intrusion 2?

huh? why are you acting like it was a tough decision? one of the best rts of all time and for an insanely cheap price.

I'm not a huge fan of the RTS genre, and I have already brought AoE. :p

Edit- Limited budget with me trying to buy pc parts. So every penny counts at the moment.

Welp, got Dishonored for $22.50 off GMG. Didn't think it would go cheaper than that on the Steam sale at all, and have been really excited to play it.

What time is it?
To The Moon is amazing and easily my favorite game that I've played this year. The GOG deal is better if you can find four other games you want to purchase though.

They might not be games you want but these deals are hardly garbage.

Ravaged for $3.39?

Jagged Alliance Back in Action for $8?

To The Moon for $3?

Not garbage.

Ravaged was free last week. You could get a 10 dollar discount for it, and it was on sale for 9,99 on some Alien store thing. Registrable on Steam.

This is the lowest Jagged Alliance has been.

To The Moon was in the Indie Royale Fall Bundle. It ran from October 14th trough October 21st.

I wouldn't say garbage.. but not ideal either.

CoH is just about the pinnacle of the genre - if you have any interest or inkling toward RTS gaming, I'd be surprised if you don't love it. It has aged well, too. Enjoy!

Yesss, To The Moon sale!

This is clearly non-Steam related, but certainly worthwhile to mention. I would seriously consider buying it on GOG.com if I were you. They have a Pick 5 & Pay $10 promotion going on right now. It won't activate on Steam, but it is DRM free, you get all of the extras, and four other great games, all for $2 each.

Games to choose from. I highlighted the ones I found notable.
  • Resonance
  • Botanicula
  • To The Moon
  • Gemini Rue
  • Alan Wake's American Nightmare
  • Blackwell Bundle
  • Torchlight
  • Uplink: Hacker Elite
  • Geneforge Saga 1-5
  • Machinarium: Collector's Edition
  • SpaceChem
  • Defcon
  • Trine
  • Symphony
  • Darwinia
  • Mutant Mudds
  • Anomaly Warzone Earth
  • Multiwinia
  • Unmechanical
  • The Ball

Deal breaker, brah.

The ideal option would have been buying the Indie Royale Bundle it was in back in October.

I KNOW that To The Moon is good ... I mean .. it is probably the only steam game with a platypus on the screenshots !

...but ... I played WAY too much crap RPG Maker games to make my brain have some kind of "lock on" on "I'M NOT SPENDING MONEY ON THIS!" =/

So I guess they bought all those indie game awards with all the money they saved using RPG Maker instead of something else?
