second bidder gets the next auction copy, unless someone outbids him so he can cancel his own bid =p

Second bidder will win the copy that ends next, assuming no one outbids them in the 45 minute gap.

This whole three day build up to the auction has been bizarre, we've essentially had one three day auction and now we'll have 99 auctions that last 45 minutes. I'd have almost preferred if they had just processed all one hundred at once, then having those bottom slots would have meant something and the whole thing would have been a little more interesting.

Edit: Lowest winning bid amongst the games I placed watch bids on is 3700 gems. The vast majority, even minor indies, are over 10k.
Edit: New top bid for that game is at 2700. I wonder if that means the top bidder paid 2800, or paid 3700?

KotorII went from 20.100 gems a minute before the end to 40.100 as the "winning" bid

I've heard bad things about Victim of Xen, I can personally give a turd to Angels of Fasaria though. For all its wrongs Xen sounds like it is actually trying...

There's quite a few where the top bid hasn't moved on my tracking list, meaning there were people that matched the previous top bid because... uh... lack of thinking it through?

Taking cross-region trading into account, nothing seems worth jumping on if you're low on gems, even the USD$150 Substance Painter -- it'd cost you just under $41 to buy 51k gems from the market but the app is $30.50 in Russia.

About the Dark Souls Update:
Dear Dark Souls fans,

You can now update your Dark Souls™ Prepare To Die Edition for PC game to replace the Games for Windows Live functionality with Steamworks functionality. The update is available from today – December 15th and will let you keep both your Save Data and Achievements.
Please read below or visit http://steamcommunity.com/app/211420/discussions/s/ to read the update process.

If you played or are currently playing Dark Souls™ Prepare To Die Edition, you will be able to update and keep your Save Data and Achievements. The Save Data and Achievements transfer service is being provided from December 15th to February 16th. From February 16th, the new version using Steamworks functionalities will become the default version of the game.

Please read the process below to update your game properly. Please note that from February 16th, we cannot guarantee that your Save Data and Achievements will be able to be transferred.

CASE 1: If you already purchased Dark Souls™ Prepare To Die Edition prior to December 15th, the following process will be available to February 16th for you to transfer your Save Data and Achievements.

For users who purchased a Game for Windows live version from a retailer (Disc) or Games for Windows Live Marketplace (Digital):
1) We recommend that you add Dark Souls™ Prepare To Die to your Steam account using your serial
2) Launch the game and connect to Games for Windows Live.
3) Run the game (only the currently signed-in user’s Save Data and Achievements can be transferred to Steam).
4) Close the Game.
5) Right click on your game in the Steam Library, go into Properties, check that the BETA tab is set to “dsptde-2.0-“

I bought Shadow Of Mordor, can I run the Ultra HD texture pack with this:

CPU: Intel Core i7 - 4770k, s1150 @ 3.50Ghz
GPU: MSI Nvidia Geforce 970
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600 16GB DDR3
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB

Since it says you need a 6GB graphics card, but I think I read people saying it ran fine even if you don't.
