gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Yeah, it's possible.

Iirc same was done for Nvidia keys for Batman Arkham Knight (switched from preorder sub to regular sub).

Ah, yeah, at the very last minute, too. At least I had time to re-pre-order BLOPS 3!

I'm glad Tom was able to find a better direction for the game. Looks good. But it's really burying the lede, which is that Valve approached Tom for help on one of their projects and he's moving to the area. I just wonder what it is they would need with a great writer who's also one of the biggest Half Life fans out there...

On a more somber note, the best PC gaming podcast out there loses yet another member. Curious what the fate will be of the Crate and Crowbar.

I couldn't get into Lego Jurassic World, maybe I just don't think dinosaurs and people liking them are that cool =o

I tried Lego Marvel Superheroes and it made me feel like an idiot, first with not being able to understand most of the puzzles, and then not being able to actually do the solution a lot of the time.

I need even babier games than the Lego games.

Not sure if I found a pricing error but I saw Ceaser III was on sale for £2, and apparently it was a part of the "seirra classics bundle". I checked it and it quoted all ganes seperately as £179 but as I had purchased 1 or the 24 acailable games I was able to get 85% off.

Snapped the whole collection for £13 which I'm sure must be a mistake.

It sounds normal. You got the special discount to "complete a bundle since you own at least one game".

It's not mistake.

It's to get people think, "I get so much better deal wit that package" and pay more for fairly old games.

You don't need to own any of games. Discount % is the same regardless.

That's pretty much the current Sierra Humble Bundle.
...Which means you could probably get it even cheaper if you bought a lower tier on humble and snagged the rest with the Steam bundle.

I know the Day of the Devs bundle did the same thing. I bought the middle tier for 4€ and then realized steam had that bundle as well and snagged the 1 game I was missing, Day of the Tentacle Remastered for 1€ (it was the 9$ game in that bundle).

I'm quite happy to pay £13 for 20 odd games. I understand the bundle system but just never seen them drop that low when they are all selling between 2-4 £'s each. Kings Quest collection by itself is normally £15 :/

Lego Marvel was broken when it came out. Seriously its the buggiest one they have ever put out. Its been mostly fixed.

I'm not saying it's bad deal. But individual prices for those games are intentionally high and they give you package at great discount.

So instead of you buying few games each at 4€, you buy whole package at 20€ -> Activision get more.

Instead of games were individually at that price, you'd likely pick only few of those at ~1€ -> Activision would get less.

I got an email with a free key for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee®, dunno why

Yeah, me too.

He'll only be at Valve for 3 months at most and can probably Skype in to podcast anyway.

Well, unless things change during that time.

With the exception of one or two times we've locked this thread every sales period.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I was just check if that was continuing. There's always been a for/against side to it and seemed like last time had a lot of people grumbling against it.

AV Club has part one of their 2016 list of best games.

Most are Steam, with the exception of the true GOTY -
Overwatch

I'm hoping for some deals on stuff that has yet to see a much of a discount yet on this Sale.

Tyranny
Total Warhammer
I dunno what else, but those two are at the top of the list.

I'm not hopeful that either will get a sizeable discount though.

Also on top of my sale wishes is that chibi dark souls style game with the generic name...tower of fire or something? Im terrible with names.
