anyone pre order that retro 4 bundle? I looked up all the interplay games on steam and I dont have any of them on steam.... watch that one be the GOG title :(

Good morning my hoes! Today is going to be a good day :) no work, no school, no homework, & my shulk amiibo should arrive at GameStop for pick up later today. Idk if I want to play bayo 2 or evolve first, or hell, catch up on some shows that I haven't had time to see... Hmmm probably will start with evolve

Welp, I dropped one of my RAM sticks on the floor and although it shows no physical damage it's dead. PC won't boot with it installed.

It's only a 2GB stick so I went from 12GB down to 10GB, but I feel OCD about it now...

I went from 16 gigs in my previous computer to 12 gigs. Annoyed me to no end.

I really hope that Spartan offers extension support like they're touting. If the extensions for that browser end up being as easy for Chrome developers as Microsoft claims, I might be dropping support for Firefox and adding support for Spartan.

Well dang. Unless Google ever gets their shit together when it comes to Chrome and multiple tabs, I'll never be touching that thing again. Hope Spartan turns out to be a good browser, especially with multiple tabs... Otherwise I'll have to stick to my enhanced client, cause I need my 100+ tabs! :p

I'm just happy to have the client version, ofcourse! But I wish it was a 'proper' program so I could have it automatically start upon bootup though.

It wouldn't be any worse than the random assassins in Fallout 3.
Well... Ehm...

Good point. Guess it wouldn't be awful if it was implemented in such a way that you'd be able to do the kind of bounty hunting and such that was in FO3, only against other players if they did some baaaaad shiet to warrant a bounty on their head. Could be coo', I suppose.

100+ tabs? And I thought I was crazy with around 20 and 10 on my phone.

Bruv... Bruv.

I've been above 300. Git gut bruv

The multitasking is real!

I invested a couple of hours of my time today and yesterday and played through the awesome top-down shooter Crimsonland! Well worth my time, I must, say, and I urge all of you to make the same investment

So, I bought a WiFi router so that my wife can browse the net without occupying my machine. TP-LINK TL-WR841N to be exact?
Anything I can do to exclude outside access, wouldn't exactly want my neighbors to piggy back on my connection. I only allowed here mobile's MAC for wireless access, rest of MACs is blacklisted. Also set up a 25+ character access password, and obviously changed the default password for router access...
Should I install DD-WRT firmware?
Or is it that whatever I do, with WiFi, I am already dead?

Disable SSID Broadcast to hide your wifi connection from being detected by others. I should also do this for my three WiFi spots >.<

I haven't read that advice since 2004. Maybe '03. :p Don't bother, it does nothing. Just always keep the firmware up to date (and if there isn't any more support, buy a new device!), use the highest encryption and a superlong password. Ah and disable WPS if your Router has that, some implementations had security issues in the past and not all vendors bothered to patch them quickly.

I thought that was rather useless as promoted by security experts

It's useless? Ok, maybe it still can be scanned by more advanced tools, but how many neighbours would have this kind of knowledge? :)

Edit: Just read this article about hiding SSID.
Just have it still broadcasted, seems like more secure for some reason

You can create a MAC white list, but that will only stop people with little to no knowledge of networking, it isn't the end all to security. You should be fine with WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption and a strong password.

If you have security clearance concerns, your place of employment has an IT department.

Firefox doesn't like it when I have more than a few tabs open. This thing eats ram, and I only have the 8.

Chrome treats every tab as a separate instance of Chrome and tends to eat up as much RAM for three tabs as my Firefox does with 50. I think I prefer Firefox. :p

I just don't want someone else to use my network to download kiddy porn.
You think 'password123' is strong enough?
jk, I'm actually using 'password1234'

Speaking of old 2D acadey dinosaur games what on earth is going on with data east these days? Joe & Mac could do with a comeback, especially in the land of crowfunding and EA games.

Why Data East (or Idea Factory), when you can go full Capcom:

Funstock digital is having a small Paradox sale, 80% off (check DRM, FUNISHOT for extra discount)
Gamersgate is having a 48 Hour sale, but their base prices seem to have been inflated again, so...

That Arkham Oranges Mr Freeze DLC is a giant pain in the ass. They seemed to have cranked up the difficulty in such a way that i grew to detest all predator encounters in the game. And that final boss fight just feels so frustrating when you have to juggle avoiding armed thugs with trying to destroy the three items without being noticed by Mr Freeze.

It's a big meh, but i guess I should've expected that coming off of the meh Harley DLC from Arkham City. At least that game had the sense to not make it a chore to play through.

And with that, I've now played through all of the Arkham games up to Knight! He's my order for them, because i know how this thread loves lists and stuff:

AC>AA>>AO>>>Blackgate HD

Even with Blackgate being clearly the worst, it's still an enjoyable experience. I liked it more than Cold Cold Heart, for example.

FF still eats more memory for me, lags on gifs and crashes daily. -.-

(Waiting on a PC reformat)

Same here though I've got a couple of plug-ins that really help out - one gives me a warning if it goes over a certain amount of ram and the other removes the tab from memory after a couple of minutes.

Using both them really keeps the memory usage low( ie 500mb as opposed to 1.2gb) and I rarely get a crash now.
