I never understood this. We know it's coming, we mostly know why it's taking so long and it's not like there aren't a million other games to play. It'll come out, we will all buy it, it'll be great. Who cares about the when? I'd rather have it late than not at all.

Was the game fun? I started to play some time during 2012 but for some reason I never continued playing it after a few card battles. Give me a reason to play the game
I enjoyed it for what was there, it's a decent Puzzle Quest variant in terms of gameplay, I liked the card style of combat as a nice alternative to the match-3 stuff we always see. I would have liked to have seen it continued, but as Arthea said, it seems to be dead now.
I've finished Runespell Overture yesterday and I somehow managed to miss two battles according to a game. I'm not sure how is that possible, when I did all sidequests and main story and even got achievement for that and fought all battles along the road... So much for 100%, no way I gonna replay all game again, one achievement or no. I had about enough of poker battles for now (><)
Is it me, or does this game feels somehow incredibly slow?
Also there is a sequel teaser at the end, which was never made I assume?
What's even more annoying about the achievements to that game is that it's basically impossible to get the "play all battles once" achievement on the first playthrough, and there's no way to know which one didn't trigger, so some people have had to play through it three or four times to get it to unlock. I enjoyed playing it, but not enough to even try doing it again.

Dude, I'm the first person here to defend those amazing people working on localizing this game, I've had several conversations with some of them on twitter to encourage them, they're heroes in my book.
But yes, I played the first game back when it released on the PSP, it ends in a soul crushing cliffhanger and I'd very much like to play it sooner rather than later. Sure, there's lots of other stuff to play but like someone above said, I'd rather be playing Trails instead.
My main issue is that the game will probably end up releasing close to TW3. I was hoping to give each game my undivided attention but the way things are going I'm going to end up tackling 2 juggernauts at the same time, which is something I wanted to avoid.
Pretty sure there's no way to turn off the obscene bloom. Game's not bad though, I just wish there was a way to skip the cutscenes and forced walking segments. They're not that egregious overall but utterly vapid. Really takes something to make cyberpunk of all settings bland.

I was surprised how good writing was for this kind of a game, it's a pity that those few presented dialogue choices didn't matter. What I would liked in sequel to expand on story and lore a lot more, and on character interactions and make it choice based. But seeing that it was supposed to take part in the castle, unlikely we would have encountered any more allies.
funny fact: I finished Gullveig with two royal flushes, that was epic! (><)
I am going to raise awareness of this shortly upcoming release to you, SteamGAF, the first Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army was surprisingly good for me, and the people I have played it with have really enjoyed it for what it is. Excited for the Trilogy game.

I searched the topic for Zombie Army Trilogy, and your post didn't show up. ;3; I did make a topic on this and other new gameplay stuff, but GAF Search showed nothing and now I'm fearing it just didn't show up either or something.

A non-Steam related question. I have an external disk that I want to wipe out it's content. What software is good enough to erase the content so that a non-tech savvy recreate the content?

I've pretty much used Samsung's Magician for far too long but it's good as gold and has a secure erase function (don't know how the compatibility is with non Samsung drives or even HDD's as I've bought nothing else for a while). There's plenty other applications that do something similar, even overkill like filling the drive up with junk data before formatting it (nice way to eat into SSD writes).
Well, after 72 hours, I finally managed to complete Trails in the Sky. And...what a great game.
Initially I was just hating it. Prologue and Act 1 are VERY slow, with basically no major events occurring. But it was all necessary to build the world, describing how it works etc.
In fact Act 2, 3 and 4 are very good, and I played all of them basically with no interruption (otherwise I used to play prologue and act 1 with games of 20 minutes or so, in fact I took a LOT to complete them).
The ending is both satisfying and hyping toward the sequel (didn't expect to see the trailer for it just after the credits, now I'm really waiting for it).
I didn't expect the
revelation about Josh
, I mean, I know something important was hidden in his past, but I thought of stuff like
he was a prince or something like that.
The things I really didn't like are the time-based quests (but I managed to grab full bracer points by re-doing two hours of the game by a savegame I did earlier), I really wish for the second game they remove them, maybe giving to the player a set of side-quests that expire before proceeding to the next chapter.
Also the combat system is perfectible, all usually resolve in charging S-Craft bar, unleashing it toward enemies. The final fight was very easy without S-Craft, basically because I spent all my Mirra into Celestial Balms, so everytime a character died, I resurrected him with full energy, don't boring with
the mini-robot the Reverie spawns
at all.
The fight before with
Laurence
was very hard, but as A GAF pointed, you are supposed to lose that fight. But winning it is all about luck and
about the fact Laurence decides to punish you by impeding the use of arts, since even spamming S-Craft results into nothing, since the bastard heal himself very fast
.
Excluding those "issues", the game is very good, a solid 8.5/10 for me.
My initial impression was wrong, because after you pass the initial, slow part the game is a joy to play.
Final save was around 72 hours, but I think there are at least five more hours because I played again the final battle and the part to do the missing side-quests. Also I missed 16 chests and 6 orbs, I managed to encounter only ONE special monster, and I didn't bother with receipts at all.
GAF's search engine is fine (as lash has already said, his post didn't come up because he hotlinked an image, plus the YouTube URL is different). Every time I see somebody say "I searched but didn't find anything", I grow curious and search for it myself; in the vast majority of cases it's revealed that the person is either lying to save face or searched incorrectly.
Now I will do Pier Solar. How is it?
Because Metacritic scores are...disappointing. Also I'm reading from Steam community hub there are a lot of bugs :S
20 completed games this year. Yay.
Done with Telltale for now, TWAU was a bit disappointing considering all the gushing about it from everywhere (it had it's moments sure, but felt... unrealized somehow). Good but other than the first Bloody Mary scene, nothing to write books about. TWD2 was way worse than the first game. Not particularly bad, but... more of the same, with not as much of an impact.
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give Sam & Max S4/BttF S2
Thinking of what should I play now. Should I go back to Daedalic games (still have two or three unfinished)... Some other PnCs (Machinarium, Primordia, Unwritten Tales)?
I have a voice in my head telling me I should give that Hitman Absolution that is taking 27GB on my HDD a whirl. HLTB says it's a quick game, and I heard the story is stupid enough to be enjoyable.

The past week I finally put down Marvel Heroes to start playing Defense Grid 2. (yes I'm talking about a game on steam no less)
As a kickstarter backer I played a bunch of it during development but this is the first time I tried the campaign. I'm a little more than half way through and I'm stuck at level 12, Incursion. I can win but only by the skin of my teeth with 1 or 2 cores remaining. I haven't found the magical combo yet. Everything is fine till the 10th wave and then all hell breaks lose.
What happens is the aliens start sending out these fast units that are only weak to heat. Even fully upgraded incinerators do only minimum damage because they move too fast. Even setting a temporal to slow them down doesn't help because they still outrun the tower before real damage kicks in. Laser towers do work but there are too many of them and there isn't enough resources to build enough towers to combat wave 10.
I have some ideas but there are only so many gaming hours in a day.
Oh I'm also playing Huniepop. I'm enjoying the game part quite a bit. I think I would like it more if it wasn't pornographic or if the end pic of each girl wasn't a gaping hole crotch shot. Must mean I'm getting old. I might even replay it at the hardest difficulty once I finish.

There are only 3 Trails games, but as Trails is part of much larger series, there are 12 games in The Legend of Heroes series and I would do almost anything to have all series on steam, especially later games that haven't been localized at all with no announcements that I'm aware of. Hopefully we can coax Xseed into doing it (><)

I'm at... 4? 3 of them were Hexcell games and then Apotheon...
I did finish Monkey Island 2 again, because it was time for my annual playthrough of something from childhood. I don't think it counts, though.
