Finished up Mean Streets.. not sure if I should tackle Martian Memorandum next or wait a bit
Suddenfly I feel oh so much better for spending $50 on a pad.
Only thing I don't really like about it are the smallish Select/Start buttons. Rest is peaches.
It's happened again: in order to get your Race for the White House Steam key, you had to generate your unique game key using Desura and supply that in an e-mail, however the devs have since taken the game down, which disallows key generation for users. That was ~12 hours ago and there hasn't been a word from Eversim about what's going on, so it's not looking good.
Desura allows games that people paid for to be removed?

- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Giveaways with Trivia questions? Is this a new feature added to ModBot?

It's really amazing game. I wasn't convinced at first and even put the game back on shelf after playing 360 version for about hour, but when I started again when PC ver released I was hooked. Story is really gripping and characters are so good that I almost cried when I finally had to finish the game and say goodbye to them. Don't worry about timed missions - if you won't make it in time, you can just try on next in-game day.
Here's very helpful guide that will help you go through rough beginning and actually give you some useful tips: http://planetredwood.webs.com/beginnersmanual.htm
Just bear in mind that PC version is REALLY buggy, at least it was for me. When it works, it works great and but when it stops you maybe won't even be able to run it. Just look for some troubleshooting on steam forums and you probably will be fine.
All in all it's outstanding game and my personal GOAT, so at least give it a try and don't be off-put by first hour. Deadly Premonition is worth it!
Post Apocalyptic Mayhem is coming back under Next Level Games' banner.
Ugh, I'm really mad about corrosivefrost's ban right now.
Anyway. Here are some impressions about Recettear.
Trivia giveaway is not recognising right answersThanks to an anonymous benefactor, I am giving away 4 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.
ModBot Basics:
- Beta: This giveaway is a trivia giveaway. In your PM, include BOTH the ModBot code for the game you want AND the answer to the trivia question on the same line separated by a space. Capitalization and punctuation are not important. Here is a visual example of how to format your ModBot PM
- This giveaway has a manual blocklist. The giver has identified members who abuse giveaways and restricted them from participating.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.
In that case they might as well not be giving a game away so what's the point of intentionally putting the wrong answer?Trivia giveaway is not recognising right answers
Edit: separate but valid question, what's to keep people from being dicks and putting something than the right answer (ex: obscure reference to the right answer; but straight out wrong answers are also a possibility) as the answer for the giveaway?

What, Endless continues the story? I think it was the same only... endless. Oooooohh. Need to play it sometime again!Anyway. Here are some impressions about Recettear.

Amazing. Looking at your screenshots, I feel like I left after the prologue and missed the actual game. You continue right were you left off, there are new events, new dungeons and you can finally recrute that adventurer you had to explain how money works to
In other news, just bought Pier Solar too, thanks Deques for pointing that nice price to me.
True, I did consider that it was the wrong answer (there's two possible answers for Pixel Junk Monsters and for Knights of Pen and Paper), but ModBot isn't as full proof as that. I know for a fact that it's possible to enter in a multi entry (not free for all) giveaway for game A and if someone wins that game there's a chance you'll still win if you enter for game B.I see some people who entered correctly but got throttled (throttle rules still apply) and I see that you entered multiple times. Not sure why you didn't win the first time, because I don't have the debug log fully set up for the trivia stuff yet. The default is that when a giveaway has multiple games, you can only enter for one. So if your first answer was wrong, you wouldn't be able to enter again--correctly or not--for any game in the set.
What I had in mind is things that are known by two names (see above) or the official vs the culture name for a artwork (ex: The Big Lewbowski vs The Dude)What would be the advantage to doing so? If someone doesn't want to give away a game, wouldn't they just not give away a game? If someone wanted to give it to one person in specific, wouldn't they just send the code? If they wanted to give it to someone in specific and get ModBot credit, wouldn't they generate the giveaway, send the ModBot code to a friend, and have the friend redeem it? It doesn't seem like there'd be an incentive to do what you're saying.

I find myself enjoying Alphadia Genesis maybe even too much (><)
It looks nice, I really like how mouse controls work, not as great as in Trails, but still nice and I'm interested in what will happen next. So yeah, so far seems like money well spent.
Also it seems to have bombed horribly, haven't even appeared in best sellers list. A pity really.

Also enjoyed reading Yakkue's impressions of Recettear, made me want to replay it.
I also like to point out that Pac-man Championship is great, buy it, people! And no, I'm not talking about nostalgia. I don't know what is it about pacman, it is walking simulator, when you think longer about it, but I still enjoy it immensely (><)
That's how you do walking sims
I kid, I kid
Lead, Lancelot, Tequila.
Of course most trivia is rendered useless by the Internet these days. The pub quiz at an old local of mine used to confiscate everyone's mobiles before starting and still some folks found ways to cheat.
As shown above you can also go with Lancelot's common name or his proper name (Launcelot du Lac), would ModBot be able to ignore the presence or abscence of the title "Sir"?Yeah, ultimately that's a problem with any kind of trivia game handled by a robot. ModBot is smart enough to ignore articles, so it'd accept "Big Lebowski" for "The Big Lebowski", but it can't do alternate stuff. I admit that the monster question above has a variant name and so may not have been all that well chosen.
I don't think it was heavily advertised and it certainly didn't help that the first review was a negative one. It does look like a fun game from your screenshots though.
I'd actually love to play Pacman again, but DX just seems too...neon for my liking.

That review really got under my skin for some reason, why would that reviewer assume it is high budget game in the first place? Horrible review, says nothing about the game and complains about it being a cheap game?! reviewers... (><)
I have 80~ keys to giveaway. So, chances are pretty good you'll be getting it.
Edit: I'll put the giveaway up tomorrow at 3pm~ EST
Yes, super beta. I do not recommend anyone uses it yet (it's possible that a key might be totally unclaimable, it's possible that the person could claim the key without getting it right, it's possible the edit might fail, it's possible the main post format might be totally mangled, it's possible the answer will totally backfire, it's possible ModBot will crash, the format is super exacting, the debug log doesn't record things properly so I can't easily diagnose it if it doesn't work, answers with numbers in them will almost certainly fail, etc etc etc), but the tutorial has been updated with some basic instructions in case anyone is feeling risky. I have tested wrong and right answers so far and a few giveaways have occurred where it's worked.

Ya, it is a tad too neony, but it's still a good ol' pac-man.
