What the fuck one of my friends already owns this game and he hardly plays any games and I don't think he reads Japanese.

aren't there rumors that greenlight is going to be fully retired in march?

People keep saying that, but I think far more likely than actually removing Greenlight will just be continuing to escalate it the way they have. If they start Greenlighting 500+ a month, Greenlight will be empty of serious games by March or April. What'd be left will be stuff that wouldn't even be allowed on Desura. Why even bother to remove it, it'd still serve that final absolute emergency break purpose.

On the one hand, I like that Valve now allows games that openly have no intention of supporting English. That bodes well for the service's continued expansion in other territories. On the other hand, I hope there's still an extremely strong pressure to support English.

Not a mod, just a bot.
This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of Conrad Link, who is running this raffle.

I am giving away 2 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (Conrad Link, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 3 hours after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

I kind of hope Sega does the same with their chinese/japanese games (although lol doubt they'd release raw japanese version of their games on steam), just so there's a chance their fanbase could translate those games for them.

We're not done:

Maritime Simulation/Adventure games in the 15th and 16th century race for the New World. Third in the Artdink Legend Pack series. This game is only available in Japanese.

It's nice of Degica to put Artdink's titles on Steam.
Pity they did not translate them.

Eikan ha kimini is also up. Baseball simulator, would be nice if you could try them.

Artdink is a great little dev. They're mostly known in the west for A-Train, but they made the excellent Aquanaut's Holiday; Tail of the Sun; and No One Can Stop Mr. Domino....

... none of which have PC versions.

Oh my fucking god, I better hope this is not what will happen. Sending all the new games from not-big-publishers in a shit getho-store to die.
If there is anything we can learn from the XBLIG fiasco, is NOT to redo this again.

What's this about a Steam brothel?

Before those they made some excellent PC-98 games.
The stuff going up on Steam now seem to be ports to Windows of these.
Wonder if we will get Tokio, Rome, Kikoushidan, Tenka Gomen or Kessen Sekigahara games as well...

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
So for example Far Cry 4 on PSN won't show up there?
Not even my activity?

It won't show up in your game library but I assume any related actions would appear in your activity feed.

I didn't know that Zombie Army Trilogy was on Steam already, if you own Nazi Zombie Army 1 and 2 you will get 30% off for each game!

That should be Nazi Zombie Trilogy. Apparently Rebellion's grown tired of making two separate versions of the one game.

Yeah, they should release the third one as separate entry and then the trilogy pack :D

That's lame, I just want the third one, I have no interest in rebuying the first and second ones.

The first and second will be "remastered" versions since this trilogy will be released on Xbox 1 and PS4

Ok, just bought a copy for myself and a GAF gift of the REmastered REmake. Too bad the Canadian dollar is still so crappy that GMG doesn't make much difference, ah well, no price is too much for Mikami's magnum opus.

I'm happy to see it on the top sellers list on GMG, now if sells up there with Revelations 2 that will really send Capcom a message. I wish the Rev team actually looked more at the REmake for inspiration, I want Crimson Heads back. :(

Hope REmake is a massive success and Revelations 2 bombs hard as fuck.

That'd really send Capcom the message.

Is it wrong that I want the tallying to be done fast and for the list to be up quickly :p
Looking forward to seeing the results MRORANGE, I take it, it'll be its own thread on GD? Would help to expose more GAFfers to what good PC games are out there.

By old style do you mean RE5? It was nothing like when the series was good.

...you know what he means; traditional adventure/exploration style RE.

Further along in chapter 1 of The Witcher. It's picking up a bit more. Textures still terrible and combat still somewhat clunky, but bearable.

I got the herbalism skill or whatever and dear god it reminds me of picking up all the shit in Skyrim. And you have a smaller inventory here too.

Since you get 30% off for each NZ game you have you are pretty much only paying for the third game and get the previous games for free

Also, there is a 4-pack, meaning that we can get it from the cheaper regions. Found a 4-pack for 5 keys from the SEA region. The price for each row gift would be ~2 keys

What message? Stop making new games and keep remaking the same old games over and over again? No thanks

Nobody's saying they have to make the same game over. We want to make a point that the REmake's level design, puzzles, backstory, backtracking and mechanics (Crimson Heads, all day) is what the RE teams should be aiming for in future games (spin-offs most likely). Also, the music (Rev does have a few tracks that are really creepy and some cool monsters though)

I should add that I completly understand the need for modernization in some aspects, such as new camera angles. There will always be Mercs/Raid modes for action.

There's an Anime themed sale going on. And right in time for me as I was wanting for some more Japanese game on steam.

Which ones are must have? Note that I already own and love the Falcom games.

Outside of the Falcom games:

KOF (One of the best fighting games on Steam)
Blazblue (but the PC version of CT is borked)
Reccetear
Long Live The Queen

eXceed 3rd is a good STG, and you can turn off the dialogue if the waifu bait annoys you. It isn't an amazing STG like Crimzon Clover, but easily worth trying.

Not played but heard good things about:

100% Orange Juice
QP Shooting
World End Economica
Planetarian
