Went overboard gifting and buying on summer sale so I couldnt and wont be able to purchase games for a while. I need a job asap.

Had assumed we'd be getting the DLC for free but it's good to know. Given I paid around 18 dollars for it I'm more than happy to double dip. Dead Rising 3 is going to look brilliant at 1080P, 60 FPS. Some really nice lighting effects and scale that was held back on the One. Will be interesting to see how the performance holds up at the end of the game where there are literally thousands of zombies on screen at once, overflowing the highways and streets.

Hopefully the arcade crazy game makes its way over eventually.

Is a bummer that it will be coming out right as I leave for work out of state, lol.

Those mentioned, yes. The ridiculously-titled DLC announced during the MS E3 presser is exclusive to the X1 (at least for now).

I don't think I've read a single positive impression of Blackgate. Even Stallion wasn't fond of it and he's batty for Batman games. ;)

But how am I going to find the answers when the questions sound like only those who played it can solve?

I did a mini-writeup on Origins yesterday, but if you liked City, Origins is basically more of the same right now. I'm enjoying it but it doesn't do much new.

It brings to mind cartoon-based side-scrollers on the MegaDrive. I'm riding a wave of nostalgia right now.

When I tried to win it last time, before I was randomly gifted it by an anonymous benefactor, the part that caught my attention was not the GAF bar, but this joke that Clownbot told:

Need to rush through the rest of Dark Souls 2 on the PC so I can play the DLC. Hard to will myself to do a lot of the same grinding/item searching that I spent so much time with on the PS3.

From page 68-78 (50 posts per page, span of about 7 hours) the term "waifu" was posted / quoted 69 times (according to Word). The last bunch of the pictures in fact weren't Steam backgrounds, they were posted afterwards and mostly of the gif/anime type, along with various other off topic posts. The off topic just went overboard this time. That doesn't mean anybody needs to leave this thread, but toning it a bit down would be nice.

How does the DLC work in Dark Souls II? Is it like Artorias of the Abyss or is it accessible early on in the game?
