It's all about expectation, mindset, and taste. I think TiTS's writing is cute, but so far (where I'm at in the game, midway through Chapter 1) it leans heavily on the dialog and less so on the conflict and world issues. I actually am quite glad it's doing that, since I've had enough "the world is on your shoulders" RPGs to last me for a while. But, if I wasn't in the right mindset to want to indulge in some sugared dialog between peppy characters, I could totally understand not being happy with the game.

Taste and humor is also subjective! Some people like really offensive jokes, others prefer theirs cleaner and more focused on delivery. I don't see a problem with someone not liking the humor in TiTS, even if it means frosty messages me every time I upload screenshots to remind me how much he hates it :3

I guess it's really hard for me to acknowledge that Trails can be not for someone, it's so very much my kind of a game, that I feel like I am questioned with extreme prejudice when someone hates on it, the same is true with Suikoden games, although it's very rare for someone hate on those. Guess I'm lucky in this at least, that are and were games made especially for me, no?
frostie would probably hate me in rl to the point of killing me, scary thought when I think about it

I was just speaking in general about the text based-stuff in the game... writing, tone, dialogue -- when I said translation, I really meant more "localization" and less "literal translation"... though I'm not sure if the original Japanese game had stuff like this groan-worthy gem zyklon shared:

(1) & (2) Fair and good points. Sometimes, if you're not sure if you're going to be okay with what's in the port or if it will run well on your setup, paying a bit extra might be worth the steam premium.

Currently Bloodborne is my overall GotY and I'm not even done with it; so unless it makes a sudden drop off in quality, it's at the top of my list.

If we're talking Steam GotY 2015, well, I'm going to use the loophole that let's me put Dark Souls 2 on top again currently.
Of course, you'll have to take into account that I will not play The Witcher 3 or GTAV until I upgrade my video card... and well, if LiS is out fully before the end of 2015, I'll run through it, but I seriously doubt it will live up to the hype.

Screencheat is dead. Idle for cards and forget about it or play asap while some try it because of the bundle. Which is sad because the concept seems fun and it's well made but what can you do....

They recently added a tutorial that you can do to get the basics down, I've played dozens of hours and the only way to get really familiar with your ship (you have a Mustang Omega from the looks of it, those are mainly racing ships with light combat) is to just play around with it in free flight or Vanduul Swarm vs. AI.

I don't think they so much allowed it as they were going to be forced to do it in Europe and likely Australia, and realized it would be more expensive to implement a separate refund policy for every country they operate in.
