Doesn't have the awful TAGES DRM if memory serves.

Is TAGES something that's installed when you install the game, or it only runs while the game is running?
If the latter, wouldn't replacing the .EXE on Steam with the one from GOG fix most issues?
It gets installed into your computer. Normally it shouldn't do anything bad to your PC, but some games had such an atrocious implementation of TAGES that they straight up fucked up your computer.
edit: yeah, should point out that most games that use TAGES have the DRM removed once you uninstall the game. As far as I'm aware, there doesn't seem to be any problems with Riddick's TAGES implementation, but since that DRM's history is dicey, I wouldn't take that chance especially when there is a DRM-free version readily available.
Jase was saying you can crack the exe before running the game and then you should be fine.

It probably goes without saying that if at some point you verify the game's cache, then you'll need to replace the exe again as the cracked one will fail Steam's verification check.

I can confirm that the Uplay version is a pain to update.
I wish I knew how to do this without risk. Otherwise I guess I'll need to pick up the GOG version just to copy over the .exe.

Gamersgate, Nuuvem, and Gamesrocket have plenty of them. Ubi titles prior to Uplay suffer this disease.

I have passed on Gunpoint several times because I want the extras and talk myself out of spending $7. So to anyone who has all that stuff, how is it? I love commentary, so I'll at least get the middle tier. Are the prototype levels in the exclusive edition worth seeing?
