I kind of regret not doing a recommendation for D4 now. It's like a bonkers mashup up of No More Heroes and Deadly Premonition. Friday can't come soon enough but then again I've gone through the demo 5 or more times already.

yeah, me too

i wrote a late recommendation for massive chalice but jshackles not putting it up ;_;

What's with BeamNG.drive being in the top 10? Never seen anyone here talk about it.
Never heard of it.

"What kind of FWD car breaks traction at 10mph? Handling of the cars is impossible with a keyboard. Nice crash physics though."

Negative reviews talk of poor performance. I'm guessing all the devs voted positive for the game. Unless a famous streamer gave the game publicity yesterday I don't see how anyone would have discovered it.

Really? You're going to argue that the positive reviews are just from the devs? It's a damage simulator and supposedly the best damage of any racing game yet.

I'd probably just go ahead and get Arkham Knight if I thought my system (FX-6300, 7950) could handle it. Really think I should wait until the next upgrade, though.

For you.

The physics engine seems really neat though . i was fairly impressed with it on the trailers and it seems they delivered on the final game. It's like the only reason im interested on it lol
Not at full price tho ahaah, gonna wait for 75%off.

I hope the devs can move on to better projects that don't rely on manufacturing controversy to sell
Their engine could be put to good use.

Isn't it just UE4

Sorry I'm on mobile. Didn't see the game was curated by:

“The Most Impressive Physics Engine You've Never Seen”
IGN

“BeamNG's Amazingly Realistic Car Crashes”
Gameinformer

“Amazing Car Crashes + Hilarious Greenlight Trailer = Magic”
Kotaku

Seems the racing and cop chases may be added later

Beamng has been fairly successful for a while, it has been streamed a lot for a few months now( hell, fairly sure pewdiepie and jacksepticeye player it several months ago)

I don't know what the state the game is right now but im going to bet they a fairly big update recently. Game is definitely not a case of "all devs voted positive" at all. It has a good fanbase already.

I'm probably just going to put something together over the next couple of days and just post it in the thread. I mean it's not like anyone reads the OP after the first 20 posts in the thread anyways.

Toma alert!
(Arthea as well?)

TIS-100 is an open-ended programming game by Zachtronics, the creators of SpaceChem and Infinifactory, in which you rewrite corrupted code segments to repair the TIS-100 and unlock its secrets. It’s the assembly language programming game you never asked for!

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Toma alert!
(Arthea as well?)

I heard the Toma signal!

I'll be there day 1!
...is what I wanted to say until I noticed I can already buy it :p
So i will buy it, impressions probably within a few days over in the next Indie thread.

I'm always down to have my mind melted by more Zachtronics goodness, although this doesn't look nearly as approachable as his other stuff.

I wish it used good old 68k asm instead of inventing a whole new architecture.
Heck, I'd even cope with real mode x86 in a pinch...

From what I saw so far, it is. Main fuel is really the controversy. As RPS wrote, it's not even succeding in being edgy, because the "exectutions" get annyoing and boring really fast. They're not creative and there are few. Just as the whole game design. Not much to do, nothing new in later levels. But hell, controversy is enough to sell buckets. Can'T say if the dev was very clever or just very lucky.
What have I done???
The right thing.

Games I'm interested in that release in the couple weeks before a Steam Sale always throw me off, especially if they come out with a decent pump-priming discount north of 10%.

June is the month where I idle 400 games worth of cards and sell turd anime foils to make buckets of cash. #americandream #sharktank #livinlavidaloca

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't give away my secret, dude!

witcher 3 xp bug still not fixed, probably won't till wednesday

ugh

guess i'll finish Axiom Verge / start Ori
Yeah, I also decided to just play Neptunia instead. I might even finish before the patch hits. Nep-Nep is so much fun and thanks to the second monitor I can now very effectively watch YouTube videos while playing. Just watched 4 parts of Liana Kerzner's essays about Feminist Frequency.
