Stuff is looking good. But there is still a lot to do. We regularly get questions about our timeline, and the estimate that we posted two months ago still holds. That means: Closed beta by the end of Spring. Full public release by the end of Summer.

Not by a lot and there's one new problem: If you buy cards to craft a badge you can't immediately sell the special sale card you'll get because it'll be market-restricted. And since those expire at the end of the sale....

Not by a lot and there's one new problem: If you now buy cards to craft a badge you can't sell the specific sale card you get because it'll be market-restricted.

I've been wondering about that. Either there won't be trade/market restrictions on sale cards, which would allow Valve to set the cards to expire soon after the sale ends, as per usual, or said restrictions will be in place but the cards will expire a week from the end of the sale to account for those earned at the last minute.

I played through my initial 30 days of time when I bought the game on Amazon for $12 in late 2013 / early 2014. I really like what I played, but I just couldn't justify continuing to pay the monthly fee when there are so many other good games (even Final Fantasy ones) that I could play without paying extra every month. Every few months I think to myself "I should really jump back into FF XIV" but then I don't. I imagine it's changed quite a bit in the last 18 months.

I got up to having a level 30 Gladiator / Paladin, but I was starting to see the big grind from there on out.

not really, some games have expensive cards sometimes but generally it's at best like 25c total per game

over like a million games tho, you'll get some free games' moneys worth

I always sell my cards. A decent, if not initially small amount to be made if you just keep doing it.
