So I don't really miss out on much by going with Wyatt?
A few cutscenes a different, also a few dialogues in the game. You could probably watch a 20 minute Youtube video outlying the differences. I personally will be playing it again with Wyatt timeline as the release draws closer, but that's more of an excuse to refresh my memory.

As down as I am on MGS Survive, on second thought I could actually see a co-op horde mode holding up just on the strength of the core MGSV gameplay.

Whoever is a puzzle fan, Linelight is legit. It's very minimalistic but clever and the soundtrack is soothing. As I was playing and listening, I actually started thinking of Chrono Cross! Very high praise to be compared to the greatest OST of all time.

It is currently chrono's daily game but for a little more, you can get it plus a bunch of other cheap games in Indiegala's Friday Bundle. Highly recommended!

Watched that Ni no Kuni 2 E3 gameplay thingy.
Game looks amazingly beautiful.
Combat looks like it has some interesting ideas, but it went on for waaayyy too long against the boss.
Soundtrack isn't doing much for me either.
But it sure looks amazing.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Valve, before greenlight: "Visual Novels are not games."
Valve, 2017: "We're having a Visual Novel Steam Sale!"

Valve, before greenlight: "We can't have too many pinball games on the store."
Valve, 2017: "Oh, we basically only sell pornography now."

The best most surprising thing that happened during this E3 is .hack being alive and going to PC. True talk

I wonder what the chance is of Dying Light: The Following having a deeper discount during the upcoming sale. I suppose I could buy it now, hold off on playing it, then refund and buy again it if its price happens to be lower.

I chose Fergus and finished that run. Afterwards, as is my tradition, I watched the AGDQ speedrun and they pick Wyatt because his routes are faster. That was enough of that world for me.

Hmm, I might just look up the Fergus run after I've completed my current run with Wyatt yeah.

Thanks for this! Didn't realize there was this much info.

"Looks amazing, is boring" would be my 4 word description of NNK1, so sadly it might be a repeat performance.

Valve, before greenlight: "We can't have too many pinball games on the store."
Valve, 2017: "Oh, we basically only sell pornography now."
The fact that Valve still doesn't allow selling pornography on Steam is actually one of the few points I disagree with their policy on. It's a silly limitation.

Especially as those games end up having wink wink nudge nudge official patches and they're fine with selling AO titles.

I dont know. "Everyone" always hates it when a game, they love, is casualized or more streamlined.

But now that its MHO, most people I see in the thread who arent even MH fans, think its good.

Sure. Im also not saying its bad, but it might be more streamlined like Frontier or MHO and not like the "main titles".
But it is the next "main title", worked on by the main team.

I don't think streamlining is necessarily equal to casualization either.
But anyway, need to see an in-depth gameplay video to judge it.

Does Steam always redownload modified games as-they were when uninstalled?

I just downloaded KOTOR2 and was going to install TSLRCM but I loaded up the game and.. it seems to be installed already? From the time I last played it and installed the mod.

If you are subscribed to some workshop items they should be restored upon re-install.

Right but the restoration mod isn't up on the Workshop. I feel like Steam has done this kind of thing before (with STALKER), but it doesn't seem to do it consistently. I'm confused if there's just some weird remnant file in there that says the mod is installed or whether the mod genuinely is still installed. Guess I'll just do a fresh install of the mod and see if it wants to overwrite anything.

Also, steamlining isn't inherently a bad thing.

I am not saying its bad. But what Capcom said about it to make it more accessible to the west sounds like it COULD be more action oriented.
Like I said. People who dont even like MH now berate people who are scared that the new direction means that it might become easier, because "finally its catered to my tastes".

Keep in mind: I am not saying its bad. I just think that the fear a lot of old MH fans have might be justified. We will see.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

I think when Steam uninstalls something it will only remove the files it knows are part of the game, so it would probably leave mod files untouched and they'd remain there unless you removed them yourself. I'd be surprised if the game functioned correctly in that state though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
There will be Assassin's Creed Origins Collector's Edition only for $799, limited to 999 units - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1390280 JaseC, post if you're okay,

Haha, even I don't love AssCreed that much.

Yeah, Steam will only remove files it downloaded. Anything added by the user or the game itself will linger.

Thanks.

I just reinstalled the mod, it didn't ask me to overwrite anything. Very odd that it would leave a title screen update that informs you the mod is installed, though. Maybe I removed it before and forgot or something.

I mean there isn't actually much evidence at all it has been "casualized" or "streamlined". We only have a trailer, cut down to show very short segments of each thing they wanted to showcase.
It also looks to have several improvements to the formula and certainly more interesting than 4.

You can see that this time you can follow the trailer of the "boss" and the removal of areas, which is a big difference to all the other games. Also some things they said (like hiding) seems that it could make the hunts easier. You now have damages shown, so you kinda know after a while how much HP the monster has.
You can get resources automatically instead of waiting for the animation to run out.

I am in no way saying that it wont be a good game. All I am saying is, from what we heard and saw, that it might be easier than most other titles and closer to Frontier/MHO than to 1-4.

Bringing more features and gameplay elements to master hardly seems like "streamlining". It's usually the other way around.
The interaction between the different creatures having a sort of a food chain, as well as you being able to use the environment to your advantage make me much more interested in this than any other MH

I'm glad that I don't have any previous experience with monhun, so I don't have to care if it's "casualized" or not.
But it doesn't sound like it is, from what I've read so far. Just sounds like quality of life shit and new features.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It feels people are taking a lot of assumptions just because it isn't being released on the Switch and it bring somewhat geared to the West, without waiting for actual details and confirmation of anything *shrug*

There was also that alleged 4chan 'leak' that got the "World" name right and had this stuff about western-oriented, dumbed down, etc in it.
'Course the name is the only thing it got right, but people jumped on it after the teaser that didn't show much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

years after: while Stardew Valley turned to be even greater than we possibly could have expected, Wild Season ended to be a total dud. You can't have it all, I guess.

Hey, somebody! anybody, kindly release Rune Factory on steam!

I'm currently working on a Stardew Valley-ish alchemy game.
Though it started out as arcade-y bullet hell potion brewing and underwent like 3 genre changes already, which is why we decided to take a step back and properly re-think it again. (it started out as a student project which is why we had to deliver something, now we have time to actually make something proper : P)
But yeah, the current direction has a little bit of a Stardew Valley feel to it on the surface - we're still fuzzy on some of the details and some currently decided parts are already rather different.

colour me somewhat interested!
I hope you'll finish it

Starting to sell my 1000+ steam cards manually as I think I have too many and Steam Economy Enhancer cant handle it. 3 Adventure Time non-foils are 85 cents each! That must be from the game removed from Steam.

Monster Hunter at 100+FPS is going to be nuts.

I've never actually played MH, but always wanted to check it out.

Anyone remember that Windows gaming tablet thingy from last year or so?

I wonder if that'll be capable of running Monster Hunter World decently.

That might be the answer for people who's missing portability from the new entry.

I wish I would have been aware of Steam Economy Enhancer before, as I've been selling my cards manually for some time now. I installed the Economy Enhancer, and am also having difficulties (and also have over 1000+ to sell). Damn.

I think it has to do with inventory quantity, as when I go to my TF2 or CS:Go tab with 20 items or so they both work flawlessly but when I go to my Steam inventory with 1000+ items it just says items cannot be sold.
