That feeling in an open ended game where you make a wrong turn and stumble into an area waaaay harder that the previous spots because you've wandered off piste. So yeah I went from 14 deaths in Ori to 182 because muppet features here didn't check that map and got blatted to hell and back.

All those PS4 noAF shots remind me of GLQuake...

I realize now you meant to say 'porn' but reading what you wrote had me really confused for a second, haha.

The Capra Demon was intimidating as hell, but I abused the aerial down-thrust move again and again by climbing the ladder. That demon deserved it.

The boss encounters in Dark Souls are truly nerve-wracking, regardless of their difficulty!

Come now there's a few things not quite right other than decent texture filtering. Here's full shots for some context.

Now I've got AFx16 forced globaly but the lighting in the PS4 version is off. It does look like it's been altered slightly game wide in some of the other comparison footage I've seen but Dante is bright bloody blue here. AA is about equal on both but it's still blurgh regardless and neither of these have any ambient occlusion.

Now...
My PC and how I've got it setup said:
Next to no aliasing due to a much higher resolution, decent ambient occlusion in the way of HBAO+, 16xAF, lighting not looking funky and all still at 60fps+. So yet again it appears to be the case of the Not So Definitive Edition though the main selling point is the extras and all the bundled content in one package at a decent price. So Complete Edition sounds more apt.

Well the gameplay changes make it the only version of the game I'd buy. :p I'm hoping a PC version pops up sometime, but so far only DMC4 SE has been rated for PC out of the reduxes which is what I'd much prefer anyways.

Call me greedy but I'd like both. Sadly DMC4SE looks like the only possibility right now. Saying that the DmC PC modding scene is bigger than I though so who know what unoffically come over. The Turbo mod on PC have various rates unlike the DE which is only 20% though I think things like Hardcore and Gods Must Die mode are a bit beyond their scope manual lock on would be nice to play around with.

Oh nice Triad Wars Beta lets you choose which texture quality to download to reduce the final game size.

Yeah I'd like both as well especially since they went back and fixed the problems I had with vanilla DmC and I want to reward them for that. Since I only have a PS4 I'll hold off to see if it's fixed or if I can get it on PC in the future officially or through mods.

Holy crap. I really need to get this game.

You will never create something this awesome. Accept it.

the Capra Demon can fuck off and die in his little corridor arena. That is where dreams go to die.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
we already tried that ... it's not a separate sub ... sooooo he gets the regular $20 price

Ah okay then, not sure who else here is in that region that would be willing to help

Hah it's like he never left. Adding him on Steam is a must.

I'm going to try and add Derrick I think, wonder if he'll accept.

I wonder if he's taken the Square Enix survey yet? All of his answers about what he wants for Deus Ex and Tomb Raider probably exceeded the character amount haha.

I'm making some progress this afternoon on the Steam Invite Spam Filter program I'm working on.

You don't know how thankful I would be for this. For the last 2 months or so I've got like one or two junk invites daily, and after a while it just clutters my client. Being able to filter out all those obnoxious "set to private - level 0" invites would be a godsend.

Hit me up with a PM if you'd be willing to do some beta testing when I have some basic stuff put together.

Just beat Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2. That GIF kinda sums up my experience. I haven't played a game in a long time where I was going so back and forth with not knowing if I liked it or not. The good stuff is good such as the presentation, music, combat and the older settings. The bad stuff is indeed bad like the stealth sections, majority of the modern day, and just some odd design decisions. Much like LoS1 there's a lot of good ideas but at the same time the bad ones just crop up either so often or are so big it detracts from the experience. The biggest issue for me by far was the modern day setting. To me it just never worked right and always felt a bit off. I appreciate what they tried to do to keep things fresh but it just didn't work. Really wish they would have kept the game in the past setting and had a more focused idea of what they wanted. All in all not horrible but unless you really want to see the conclusion of the LoS trilogy or just absolutely need this game for some reason it's a easy pass.
