I see that EpicGamez.xxx/warez/booti.cgi?downloads is losing an exclusive as Shadow Complex Remastered comes to Steam.

I just wish customers would not support a monpolotty... it's anti-consumer for example and also it is against free speech.... .... *sighs* but fan boys will be boys!!!!

Well, we could always have a Uplay-like situation, right?
We'll see in a few months.

so... when does xcom enemy unknown end? i've been playing it since last week, 19 hours so far according to steam, and while the combat and gameplay are amazing and i'm still enjoying it, it's starting to wear me down a little. it doesn't seem to have any narrative progression whatsoever, or just a feel of progression in general. as a result, i have no idea how far along i am. could be halfway, could be still the beginning, could be nearing the end. i have no idea.

I played a bit and this was my biggest take away from it. Just feels like a forever sort of game. Which isn't bad but I was expecting a bit more in terms of progression.

Really? I thought it was quite simple, game always tells you what you should be working towards next

I wish Steam didn't even exist. Then they'd never be able to fuck up the market and we'd have real competition.

Can anyone tell me how "big" these giveaway groups and their fans are? It seems they use these giveaways as advertisments, but whenever I join one of those free giveaways I need to join 2 new groups, that are essentially the same groups over and over again with the same ads (Buy game abc, buy game xyz) etc.

Both EU and EW tell you what to do next so im not sure how one can get stuck.

As far as how long the game is: My recent playthrough of EW took 26 hours and i kinda knew what i was doing. So i would think that one's first playthrough is probably around 30 hours

So I only play with a controller on my tv so i cant use a wired headset :(

Anyone have any feedback on this logitech one?

Wireless headsets seem to be very rare compared to wired, and none that arent no-name are in the less than 100$ CDN range.

That's the one I have and I really like it. Really comfortable, nice sound, and the mic is pretty decent. I mean, I'm not recording an album of anything, so the mic works great for gaming. The bass leaves something to be desired, but for me it's a non-issue.

I have this exact one, as well. It's got a really sturdy build to it, nothing really feels too flimsy. The mic pulls down and has some bend to it so you can get it closer to your mouth or further away.

It's got really good range and I haven't noticed any quality sacrifice with distance. I agree with r3 on the bass... it just doesn't have a "full" bass sound, but there's enough, for sure. It's got a pretty nice surround effect that naturally is dependent on the games you play. CS:GO in particular sounds great.

But I'm guessing this is for the Division, since I see you in the thread all the time. I'll add that having a mic for that game is so, so much better than playing without one. Getting a full vocal team together is night/day on some of the harder missions. sogood.gif

Introducing Wrack: Starfall

Greetings Wrack community!

We've been keeping rather quiet for quite some time, but that's all about to change because we're getting ready to talk about the next game in the Wrack universe, Wrack: Starfall!

While we're not ready to say too much about the game just yet, this is something we're very excited about, and think you will be too. We want you to have the best Wrack experience possible, and think Starfall will go a long way towards that.
We've already done a ton of work on Wrack: Starfall, but to make it happen in all its glory, we need your support! That's why we're pleased to announced that we're launching a Kickstarter campaign for this new game.

We'll be launching this here campaign on (drumroll please)...
Monday March 28th, 2016
We hope to see you all then, and we can't wait to bring you the next big thing in the Wrack universe!

Looks like Rime could potentially come to PC as Sony have dropped it. Though it makes you wonder about how bad development has been and the quality of the game.

Im not stuck, i'm just saying I was expecting more story from it.

I'd love to know more of this too.

I believe there are a number of separate "schools" (e.g. Original Group *shudder*, Grab the Games) but with all the groups seeming to advertise giveaways from the other schools too it all becomes a blurry mess.

They seem big enough to get anything from 5,000 to 100,000 keys.

You then have completely separate things like indiegala and formerly bundle stars (but they've turned to gleam now).

Speaking of which:
https://gleam.io/RYR2C/journey-to-the-center-of-the-earth
10k keys. I like how one of the steps is watch footage of the game. There are no trading cards so this is a +1 or maybe you're in the mood for a 3 character puzzle platformer.

oh, there's like no story to it. It's just you fighting an alien invasion. That's pretty much it. It's more about how you experience that tough journey yourself, the story you make.

There's more story in the Bureau if what you want is some semblance of a plot in an Xcom related game

It just seems they are all the same group, thats making a lot of other groups, so they can spam your activity feed with the same posts over and over.

But it also seems that "bigger" devs use these groups to advertise their products, because its not just bad indie games they advertise, but also bigger games like Ark and such.

Wha-ha-what, dropped? That's what I get for not checking Gaming more often. What a shocker! On one hand I was very interested in Rime and glad at the chance it could become multiplat but on the other hand, without Sony backing them, they could possibly have to tone down their vision drastically. Bummer.

Odd thing about games/applications ran through Epic's launcher is that if you take a screenshot of what you're running it will also capture the launcher window too. Guess that's the setup for UE4 and maybe sees the other process as another context?

Though you can run Shadow Complex without the launcher by adding '-AUTH_LOGIN= -AUTH_PASSWORD= -AUTH_TYPE=' to the target line (had to do that to even get the Steam Controller to work). Not sure if it's DRM free (as in not copied the install on popped it on a machine that didn't install it via the launcher).

You saying there's something wrong with Ron Jeremy and his teachings about giant blobs? You'd obviously get tagged as The Doggs Bollocks, so that'd be pretty nifty I think.

We have to find a way to balance out the fact that we are a bunch of very, very serious people playing a very, very, very, very, very, very, very important game, by giving out super cool street cred penis tags.

Well I jumped aboard the EUIV train last Steam sale but it's been yonks since I put anytime into a GS title so might need to blast off the cobwebs before poking my head in.

Someone posted a rumour in the thread that Sony people were in and out of Tequila's offices constantly, and testing people were saying the game was too boring. Seems pretty bad.

OTOH Rime being multiplatform is good for me, and for future proofing

OTOH A publisher dropping something implies either a) nothing at all because it's driven by some unrelated external business consideration, or b) bad news about how the game is shaping up so that's pretty hard to interpret.

Based on what? Arrogance?

Lol what?

Flunkie and I are both above our ranks. I'm a higher doubles rank on ps4 and he's nearly a champion.

Therefore playing challenger elite is a free win :V

And losing 3 matches in somewhere between 30 and 45 matches is hardly arrogance to assumeyou're playing above your rank...

Let's be honest Deadlight didn't exactly set the world on fire. I kind of got a tad bored of it after an hour and the folks I've seen post about it in here have been a mix of opinions.

And short of a few 'gosho' trailers not much has properly been shown of of RiME for anyone who hasn't laid hands on it to form a decent opinion yet.

The game always tells you what you need to do. There should be a list of bulletins somewhere in the HQ, I think on the "world" display.
Or, maybe you are playing the Long War mod. Are you sure you didn't install the Long War mod?

as far as i know it's the normal edition, i haven't downloaded any mods. as for the bulletins, you can expand the event list in the mission control room, but it only shows the council report once every month, and the time it takes for your optional creations to complete (facilities, weapons, research).

Really? I thought it was quite simple, game always tells you what you should be working towards next

i did not say i was stuck, i said there's no overarching sense of progression, at least not in the first 20 hours. the core gist of it is to build satellites and uplinks, use them on the countries, go to mission control and search for activity until there's an abduction or vip escort, complete the mission, panic rises or decreases accordingly. rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. i've been doing this for 20 hours now.

This was probably already posted, but here it is again anyway.

Dear Dying Light fans,

We’re not going to lie: we love Rocket League and its explosion-infused RC car football fun! That’s why we have partnered up with Psyonix to bring some Rocket League love into Dying Light and vice versa. Both games offer great driving fun so we wanted to give fans of both games some unique staff – and here it is. Starting today, you can equip your Dying Light: The Following dirt buggy with a unique Rocket League-themed paint job.

How to do it? Just use the official docket code LightMyRocket and redeem it at dockets.dyinglightgame.com. Then you can get the paint job from Bilal in Dying Light: The Following. Or you can watch it in action right now in our official trailer.

Get that docket and have fun!

-- Dying Light Team

I got a lot of progress out of building my facility and soldiers up so i dunno, i felt like the game was definitely moving forward and opened up more options as i kept on playing

to each their own i suppose
