All this 'PS4k' stuff has just reinforced my desire to upgrade my gaming PC.

Also, Stardew Valley is aces.

Well in that case... time to keep playing Project Diva X!

DS1 is only good because it's basically Resident Evil 4 in Space.

DS2 is okay, it's DS1 and Uncharted in Space.

DS3 is kinda crap, it's DS2 designed with coop in mind and a shitty love triangle story, some crap gameplay too, all in Space

But then you'll need a new graphics card every three months. And then new drivers for that card, on top of the daily drivers you already need to download.

Yeah, the misinformation in those threads about PC is absolutely hilarious

i'd say dead space 1 is more like the village part of re4, as in the only good part :)

like dead space 1 is consistently creepy and mysterious, while re4 kind of goes off a cliff when you get to the castle

it's kind of why i don't like re4 so much, it starts so great, that village area is like one of the best stretches of gameplay in games ever, with like slowly creeping into the village and then defending the siege with the hot spanish dude and random spanish dudes yelling "te vas a morir imbecil" at you a billion times and then you get to the castle and it's like giants and a weird napoleon dwarf dude and weird scripted stealth sequences and general escort missionness and zombie people with crossbows, it's just ugh

but yeah that village part is sublime

and all of dead space kind of feels like that village part

which is another big reason dead space 1 is super super good

Something very wrong with me. I got so frustrated with Castlevania Lords of Shadow (music box stage, and other annoyances leading up to it) that I deleted it. Yet here I am downloading it again because I still think to myself "well, I like some of it, and I do want to finish the game".
It's just as that awful point where it can still be an enjoyable experience when it's working right and not asking me to mash a button or platform and other bits, but it's awfully close to feeling like I'm forcing myself to get through it and that means it's almost like work I have to do.

Oh well, at least this Xbox One controller feels nice to use. Almost glad my Xbox 360 controller stopped working and forced me to upgrade.

I think a big part of this might go to personal taste, I think the best part of RE4 happens in the Castle, but then I have the opinion I think Dead Space 2 was better paced and more enjoyable than Dead Space 1 (but I could see why others would think the opposite).

Dead Space 1 has an enjoyable onslaught deal, but I also feel it kind of suffered from being stretched out too long with that concept and sort of padding itself with predictable back-tracking... I don't dislike backtracking itself, if I did there's no way I'd love older horror games as I do, but there's something about how Dead Space handles its backtracking that's always made it more tedious than not. Maybe it's because you always know the game is going to span an army of enemies at you at some point before you get to point x (or point x will activate something that will spawn an army of enemies), or many of the environments (with definite exceptions) coming off as being a bit same-y (they have stand-out rooms and various mechanics to use things like stasis on or the like)... I don't know. There's something about the original Dead Space I've always found to be something of a turn-off for me, but which wasn't present in Dead Space 2. I think it's the pacing.

But opinion's are subjective and all that.

So a game called Watch paint dry is coming to Steam. Hmmm, April 1st release day...

It was just a prank bro!
That's enough, guys Please stop attacking Valve for putting this game on steam, they've done nothing wrong. I'll explain what happened on /r/pcmasterrace as soon as I'm able to. Just to clear somethings up though: the game will not be sold (and never was planned on being sold), did not go through a typical process of getting on steam and will be removed. I wanted it to come up with a big "coming April 1st!" box and to tease everyone but people just seem really mad (and fairly so). Valve are not responsible for this and it was poking a bit of fun at some quality of submissions we see on green light. I will also more than likely release the game you would've got for free too.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.

If you want a recommendation, I'd say wait for prices to get even cheaper. You have your OS on a drive big enough to accommodate it plus a few games you're playing.

The net benefit is only going to be slightly improved load times and you're spending around the price I usually pay for a new graphics card. I don't think it's worth it.

Wow, I bought that PS4, I still don't own a single game and there's already a new model coming out. Can't wait for "Exclusive on PS4K" label.

This game requires a PS4K to be executed.

We know it will happen, Nintendo docet.

Are there 20 exclusive PS4 first party games at least excluding remasters? On the current console I mean.

Just finished RAGE. So glad we've moved past from all those corridor shooters.

I doubt it, Sony doesn't make money off HW sales. All they care about is you paying PS+ and choosing PlayStation again the moment you want to upgrade.

we should have a rule for REAL nsfw stuff being CLEARLY marked in the posts like [NSFW] and have the pictures in a spoiler, also only On topic nsfw stuff would be allowed like steam games or not allowed at all.
I'm not saying "ban anime!" and I think some of you are fucking silly at times (complaining about sfw VN stuff, seriously grow up).

I just want this thread not to have unmarked off-topic NSFW gifs and pictures.

Standard practice should be no NSFW pictures, but they should be clearly labelled if you feel otherwise.

It's Grief's birthday today, right?

Either way, Happy Birthday Grief!

Last week, but I'm impressed!

I want to wrong thread this guy so bad, but I know morning bus will be disappointed.

nah i think that's definitely something about dead space 1 that needed tuning, but it's like a mass effect thing that instead of building on what they had they just threw it all away for something that's similar in the surface but very different in tone

and i'm a pretty big fan of backtracking and seeing the same thing over and over again but also seeing it change as the story progresses (which is why i like re1 and 2 a lot more than 4), so while it may have been padded a bit much i still liked it a whole lot

i think dead space is def one of my favorite games from the last gen, that series had so much promise

Lovely Easter weekend, finished off with a roast lamb dinner, but of course I can't close it out with a few hours of SFV because Capcom chose prime-time Euro hours for their seven hours of server maintenance. Capcom pls. At least I got my 100th ranked win earlier today.

Also, R Mika players are all like..

And if we're "lucky", there'll be another bout of server maintenance on the 30th, since that is when the in-game shop launches. On the bright side, KI is out tomorrow, and I look forward to trying that out. And congrats on ranked win #100.

I saw that image on /r/kappa. That place is almost as bad of a cesspool as /r/pcmasterrace.

Also, when your product is played globally, your maintenance window is always going to piss someone off.

Just remember, 8 player lobbies with spectating and Alex shortly thereafter. It's worth a day of downtime, especially if this patch somehow improves the netcode for people who are having major issues with the game's online.

i want to buy a 1tb SSD considering im down to 250gb, but I'm aware if I can hold out even another half year, I'll be set with buying a larger one for the same price or the same one for a lot cheaper.

The current price for those, last I checked, is about 10 times what it is for HDDs. Admittedly they are almost 10 times faster, but it is still quite a steep price. I expect with the advent of ever larger memory sizes, the prices for those will have to fall tremendously.
Currently I am doing fine with a SSD + HDD mix, where I keep one or two larger games on the SSD and the rest (smaller or older games with next no loading times anyway) on the HDD. Works quite fine, and you get to enjoy faster boot up time and the most common programs start up instantly.

I have a MacBook pro that I run bootcamp on, it works perfectly on some games and and awful on others. I got recommended Dishonored, because it runs great, but is there a list of games that runs great on bad hardware?

Scooped up Dark Souls III on GMG today with 20% off. I always get lured in by the savings but now I'm looking at a screen that says I'll get my key on release day. No preloading I guess.
