Btw, re discussion over Nier's potentially resolution-limited port: was searching around and came across a /v/ post from a few days ago that said the translation wasn't accurate from that interview in August and the answer only referred to an FPS lock not a resolution one (IIRC, can't find the post offhand).

Not sure if there are any Japanese-speaking SteamGAF'ers here who could confirm but thought I'd mention it.

I suspect they're resold keys and GamersGate is still waiting on stock to arrive. That'd certainly explain the generous discount and lack of pre-order bonuses.

Seems like preorders for Full Throttle Remastered are exclusive to GOG.

It'll be $15 when it launches on GOG and presumably on Steam as well.

Sort of. Pre-orders went up on Steam a week later, so it's still early days yet.

Nothing scary really. Just an unsettling feeling throughout. The devs looked at feedback and removed the one thing that could be considered as a jump scare because that is not the game they are making.

You only really need to warn from stuff from Walker. The rest of them are fine. What he describes seems a hit and miss, humour in games is kind of a lost art form. LucasArts mastered it early on, but in other genres it's often very cringe inducing. Except of course unintended humour, that's always great. BioWare is brilliant at that.

Well, first Styx was also was nothing to write home about..

The strong point of the first game was the level design and stealth stuff, so if that is maintained I think the sequel will be worth playing.
