Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Isn't the "ban" more like in making big dedicated threads to discuss it, instead of just mentioning it in passing and have short discussions about it? Never seen anyone banned for mentioning Hatred every now and then to say something short about it.

Sorry for the slow reply but what Jawmuncher said previously is basically how it goes. It has to do with site advertising and search result rankings and they're games that crop up occasionally that are outside of the usual obviously banned games that are straight up pornography. And also as Jaw said, mentioning the game now and again or having it show up in Modbot giveaway isn't really an issue, but discussing it (especially on SteamGAF because anime + boobies) even in short usually leads to a snowball effect that can sometimes result in several posts/pages of lenny faces and anime gifs which is essentially what we're trying to avoid. Again, any specific issues can be brought up with me via PM or by PMing any of the other mods.

Hey man, long time to see. Hope you're well!

I'm doing okay - been having some health issues the last few weeks but I'm slowly on the mend. I'll try to drop around a bit more as things get better. :)

Momodora Reverie under the Moonlight is truly something special. Durante and the rest of the guys that have been praising this game weren't kidding. I just finished my first play-through and I will definitely come back for more, I need to try and do a run on Insane difficulty at some point. I really hope that Hollow Knight doesn't feel somewhat shortcoming after playing Momodora.
I'll likely pick it up during summer sale, looking forward to it.

im assuming its just Rev2 PC news... its actually not announced yet as far as I know >_>

Well, no date at least yet.

Speaking of Arc System Works, Shini just confirmed that CHAOS CODE -NEW SIGN OF CATASTROPHE-, (coming out tomorrow by the way) lets you switch between keyboard or console prompts:

Their previous games swtiched back and forth every few seconds which was a bit annoying, so that's a nice detail.

Hey all, I need some low spec games for traveling with Intel 4400 graphics. Extra points if it works well with a touchscreen, so I can use it for once.

I've been trying out Invisible Inc. and 10,000,000.

Ask and you shall receive.

It was removed from Steam.

It doesn't seem right to me that store preferences include the developer/publisher "releases" section. If I'm on that page, I kind of want to see everything, y'know?
The days when Blizzard used to have GOAT storytelling. It's really underappreciated/and or forgotten how good they were at implementing story in gameplay decades ago when instead of 20 minute raid boss exposition you'd literally have every click of your gameplay actually be purging a Stratholme citizen.

That said I still want HL3.

It really is bizarre how good SC/Diablo/WC3's stories are. They walked the fine line between melodrama/hamminess and a sort of grim fantasy realism that made it really work. I think brevity was the key, because when SC2 and Warcraft doubled down on it, they lost everything.

It's kind of why Overwatch is the return of Blizzard's Good Storytelling™, because they're forced to be brief due to how much it isn't focused on story. You get enough scraps to present a tantalising world, without so much that you learn Reaper is actually a god trying to save the world from itself, and Mercy is the bad one, and Mei actually masterminded everything, and the Omnics are actually the reincarnated souls of a dead race from another dimension, and that everyone needs to group together to fight an even bigger, cartoonier apocalyptic evil, etc.

Every time Blizz gets a chance to explain things, it goes badly.

Why you guys are having difficulty to understanding this basic? :S "- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (TetraxShards, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread."

Let's fill up his/her PM folder! :D

ModBot

Not a mod, just a bot.
Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, I am giving away a Steam key. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below containing the game you want to enter for. Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.
Want to make your own ModBot giveaway? Click here for a quick tutorial thread. Please give generously.

ModBot Basics:
- This giveaway has a manual blocklist. The giver has identified members who abuse giveaways and restricted them from participating.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- If you are a lurker you are not eligible for this giveaway. You need five or more posts in either the current Steam thread or the previous one to be eligible

So, did anyone enter this latest giveaway for Suguri? It shows as unclaimed for me, and i've sent a PM 15 minutes ago and still no response. I'm just trying to figure out how this whole system works :) The last game i won was an already activated Titan Souls 5 hours ago, and nothing else in the past 24 hours. I've sent a bunch of PMs to modbot though for previous giveaways (neither of which resulted in a reply), could that have something to do with this situation?

You could either be throttled from the previous giveaway or the game might actually be claimed/modbot hasn't edited it yet. Modbot has been putting in work the last week.

If you PM'd for it, there's nothing else to do.

Ehhh, I would under no circumstances say that WC3 has brevity going for it, it is still to this day probably the meatiest campaign in an RTS. WC3 works because it has interesting characters.

WoW was inevitably going to go down, because a sustainable and good level of storytelling in an MMO over a course of 10 years would actually be a Herculean feat.

Starcraft 2 is just shit, them going deep into it had nothing to do with it, they managed to somehow repeat the exact same mistakes from ME3 in their last campaign...from fucking ME3 of all places. Metzen just went full fanfiction on it.

hope you feel better jshackles!

Feel better soon mate! Health's always first.

Thanks guys - nothing major, but pretty disappointing since this is a) the longest amount of time I think Enhanced Steam has ever gone without an update and b) the beginning of spring weather here which means it's time for me to start my marathon training.

I wasn't aware he was causing a problem!

Rhak was just joking with that. For reference, Lenny face is this guy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and is essentially the emoticon equivalent to

So excited. Finally about to have a PC capable of playing games lol my 5+ year old laptop really wasn't cutting it. While this is a cheap PC (Alienware Alpha R1), it's still far better than what I had. Woot woot!

I had ventured into previous threads, but never posted (as far as I can recall). I'm pretty excited to actually use my 500+ games Steam account. I definitely have some leftover Humble Bundle keys from the past few years that I should post in here. Need to figure out how ModBot works I guessssss

Welcome mate.
There is a way to automatically assign categories to games in your steam library so they are organized by 'time to complete'.
Otherwise compiling your own list is a good way too.

I also have an Alpha R1. Use it as my HTPC tho, lol. Welcome.

Haha yeah, I'm not expecting this thing to be amazing or anything, but it's definitely better than my laptop. Most of my Steam games are 5 years old or more. There are some newer games I'd like to play (Resident Evil 7, new Mass Effect, Witcher 3, etc.). I'm hoping I could at least run those on low settings and 720p or something. (It's the i7, 8GB RAM model)

I heard you cats like RPS around here

The first few hours of Mass Effect Andromeda are an astonishing disappointment
This puts me in the difficult position of trying to decide whom I detest more: modern Bioware or John Walker.

I have the same one. It should be enough for base PS4-like settings from some benchmarks I watched (not with bad pc ports obviously).

Resident Evil 7 is pretty well optimized. It'll run on 1080p med for you at the very least probably

Momodora was my 3rd or 4th top game of last year, and I think Hollow Knight is better in most regards. Certainly if you like one I can't imagine you not enjoying the other.
