Does Uplay even have the preloading feature? Well, you have it on Steam already, but damn it I have it on Uplay.
Fucking Ubisoft I swear.....I might "preload" it as well.
Hopefully friday releases become more common. It's pretty nice to have a new game going into a holiday weekend like this. I actually forgot about it being Memorial Day on monday until a coworker reminded me, haha. Instantly improved my mood.
I'm not interested in Watch_Dogs, the game. I am interested in seeing how the "saga" of sorts comes to an end after that good E3 reveal, downgradation, Wii U abandonment, etc.

True... though I find I get annoyed sometimes at the seemingly more aggressive AI and it's ability to speed up attacks from the norm.
If I had a curse jar and dropped a quarter in there every time something unplanned happened and my plan went to shit leading to unexplained/unfair deaths, I could probably send one of my future children through college.
Bulletstorm might be the best thing that ever came out of Epic and People Can Fly.
I don't know that you can suffer if you play Dark Souls. Either you'll like the challenge and want to get better... you'll have patience and figure out how to maneuver and work the gameplay correctly... or you'll hate the game and give up after it beats you senseless.
I played 2 chapters. When it ended up being that the first chapter was a tutorial on how to walk and move the camera and the second chapter was a tutorial on how to mash X (and it had the nerve to give me a B for some reason), I dropped playing and went back to Dark Souls 2.
We're all expanding at exponential rates. I just cleared 1600 the other day. Bernardo is over 1300. It's almost like DBZ up in here... y'know, if you scale, because even JaseC can't get over 9000 currently.
I feel like I'm the only one here disliking Bulletstorm. It bored me tons but the worst was, that I got constant headache (console version). Yet the stage where you are walking on a miniature city is memorable.
I would give it another chance if I had it on PC, as I could probably turn off some effects so I wouldn't get a headache.
I remember having to review Half-Life (the whole Orange Box) for Xbox 360 back in the day. I completed the whole package but it took a fight as I had to take medicine against the constant headaches throughout.

every now and then game goes nuts and you get the unfair death but for the most part if you play how it's meant to be played (aka don't be greedy) you're crusin'
i rarely get mad at the game unless it's a particularly poorly designed part (say executioner chariot or bed of chaos). even at wheel skeletons in dks1 i was actually laughing at how perversely mean from can be lol

Last November before AC4 released, Uplay Russia pricing error put them at like $1.50 or something like that each.

The only thing I can suggest is to summon help and try to stay at range with high damage output.
Optionally you could get some pyromancy going so that you can cast flash sweat for some fire defense and
put a pharos lockstone in the mechanism on top of where the dull ember was... rolling around in the water gives you some decent fire resistance for a bit. combine with flash sweat and if you're fast enough, that should help with the fire damage for a bit.
If nobody is there to help you out, you can always summon Lucatiel there..

like usual smelter demon is just a matter of patience.
stay the fuck away until he starts swinging his sword then roll left, right left and get one or two hits in, etc. you can heal after he does the aoe thing after the jump sword smash thingie
he's not that bad but since his shit can't be blocked he can be a lot more punishing that say pursuer or something
rofl. Last time I saw that GIF, I used it when Grief said he and a buddy exterminated the Iroquois during a Civ 5 game.

As a frail melee/magic user, a single mistake meant death for me. If a roll was 1ms off and the hitboxes misaligned... try again, pal.
But you're right, most of the bosses are like that... except for the ones that try to gangbang you... (in NG+ especially).
No offense meant, but I find it fascinating that you're buying console games which are like the definition of DRM, yet don't want to spend money on a PC game which is just a simple EXE switch away from being DRM-free.

Have you run into those fights where the bosses get to bring a posse to the fight in NG+? Those give me nightmares.

So this is Red River maxed with extra setting forced, god, as a fan of Dragon Rising this game is ugly.

So yeah, don't buy this expecting a great port, I don't mind GFWL but it has that too. Go with dragon rising, seems to have to better setting. Sorry if I made your eyes bleed, here's a nicer screenshot from one of my favorite looking games to make you feel better.

Yeah I was happy to see that, but their latest bundle still gives you 4 "Special Greenlight Codes". I hope they just mail them out like that in the future.
I'll say one thing about Watch_Dogs, the whole ordeal can turn what would be sane, rational people into frothing looneys. This goes for anywhere I've stuck my head in in 'tinterwebs over the last few days, be it here, Guru, Reddit, DSOG, GameSpot etc all some bizarre arguments and justifications.
Let me give you an example. Holy Fridge posted a couple of screenshots here both in the screenshot thread and the OT. Now Holy is quite an accomplished screen shotter so the quality of them is quite good, in the composition mind, settings could be low and they'll still look half about. Now so folks over at Guru see these and repost them on their forum without any credit other than they came from GAF. This was also the time a member of theirs, Extraordinary, found a setting in the config files labeled "DeferredFxQuality" which was set to console as the variable. There's no in game front end option for this so whether it's a setting that can be enabled in game remains to be seen or what other arguments it take but there's no A - B pics showing otherwise. But don't let that get in the way of what happens next.
This gets picked up by some guys over at Reddit who proceed to post it as a hidden setting in the config files and also happen to link Holy's pics only this time with no credit as to their source. They are talked about within the discussion in there as having the mystery setting enabled (not that anybody knows who took the pics let alone what settings are enabled or even the locked off variable). This did get a brief mention in the OT but was one of curiosity so far. Anyway at about this time Dark Side Of Gaming must have stumbled upon the Reddit thread as they then proceed to write an article about this hidden value and that it magically improves the visuals. They show some pics supposedly with it turned on and you can guess where they came from.
Now to make this even more crazy this article has cropped up in various places, including here where the original message has got lost in the mistranslation time and time again. There's some cracking theory's out there why such a setting would be hidden away from parity to it's zero day piracy protection. Yet still no one has made a comparison as to what the setting looks like on vs off (or pc vs console). Thankfully there are some sane people here though and Havel did a quick one and nothing of note changes from pic to pic.
Still as I've said the best thing about Watch_Dogs has been seeing what it has done to some peoples perception. Though I can't imagine it's been a fun game for the Mods though.
